As I was in the middle of doing that, I remembered that a long time ago, I started one of those "twenty pieces of personal canon" memes as well, and abandoned it when I hit six

I like Katie a lot. I just don't like her with Rodney, because I feel like people should be with someone and feel free to act naturally and like themselves, and that's not happening there. So, yay! Now she gets a hot Marine boyfriend instead!

I'm so happy to hear that this jumpstarted the sequel. Unhappy endings for John and Rodney are a big no-no. If you're still up for doing more, how about Rodney from, you guessed it, Golden Boy? We don't really get much from what he's feeling in the original so. Yeah.

Golden Boy John and Rodney are 100% getting a happy ending! In my writing world, everybody gets a happy ending. It might take me a (very, very) long time to get there, but it'll happen. Cause they deserve it.
