Guilin is amazing! I'd love to see it in real life. I used to think those Chinese paintings of hills like that were imaginary, they look so fantastical. And your prime minister was so right about those bamboo - beautiful! That avenue of lanterns is also lovely, as are your mum and dad.
That's an interesting position the Midnighter's in in that last frame! And he's quite hairy, isn't he... :D
PS I nearly forgot to ask - have you started your new job yet? Or is that after this holiday?
If you ever come to China you definitely should see Guilin, in the off-season though, or the most you'll see is people people people LOL. It should be more pretty in spring, when the trees all turn green. There's also a famous terrace that was not in our itinerary this time. Will save that for the next time :) Midnighter is hairy in all the right places XD... No I haven't. The report date is set to Mar 6th. I'll quit the current one by the end of Feb. It's best for both my current company and the animation studio. I'm familiarizing my successors with my duties and not as busy as before now. Also quite excited for the work in the animation studio. I'm also a little nervous thinking maybe I haven't accumulated enough skills and experience in only one year to meet a more challenging position, but I'm just gonna focus on the positive. I learn fast :)
You will be fine, they are all learning too, being part of something new is like that. Everyone will be feeling their way around and supporting each other through the teething problems of a new venture. It should be so different from the company you're leaving behind!
I can't think of anywhere else in the world that has terrain like that. Those pictures are gorgeous-thank you so much for sharing part of your trip with us.
