Ooooooh! I've been looking forward to seeing what you did with this (as well as the new story, because I love that verse) and I'm not disappointed! Fabulous set, m'dear. It's really hard to pick out a favourite - I love the two yard scenes with the old trucks - the lighting and the shadows are lovely - I adore the night time one with the sparks and the tangled wood, that is gorgeous and intriguing... - I really love the portraits and especially like the one with the young girl crouched over Adam - the scene with Adam laughing and Sam, Dean and Bobby is just wonderful, I love how tall the boys look, and the wallpaper! - you used my Coyote! That's awesome! :D - the subtle piece of pie in the title pic is great, that made me smile
I'm back! I've made a decision - my faves are the girl and Adam, and the night-time scene below it. Yup. *nods* I love the colours on the girl one, and the brush wood behind her,and the shadow, and Adam's face. And the other one is lovely, so atmospheric.
Thank you! I really have been looking at this set of pics so long that I don't know if they are good. Every time I open my PIC file they are sitting there. I'm really glad you are not disappointed! The girl is Rabbit, an OFC. I like her too. I didn't know I could work out that pic until I did. I received the story in three parts and had a week to ponder over Adam's first part of the journey where he's all on his own, him against the world. And I enjoyed drawing his solitude figure against an environment in which people are not aware of his presence. Also I really wanna thank you for the tip for my SDMB art. I already worked one out and showed it to Sarah. Bottom line secured. I was really afraid that I'd mess it up this time but ... :) Thank you, dear, for a lot of reasons. I'm looking for your gen bb fic and art!
Oh I'm glad you thought of something for your SDMB art, I knew you would! Sometimes our brains just need jogging by something outside of us in order to get going again.
I've just sent off my second piece of art for Reverse bang - I'm really looking forward to that one! I can't remember, are you taking part in it too? I love looking through all the art works while the authors are deciding which pics they want to write about. Hopefully a couple of authors will want to write something about my 2 pictures....
What?! You sent your reverse bang art already?! One early bird you are! I'm probably not gonna make it. My fandom priority is finishing up SDMB art nice. But I hate to miss Reverse bang, since you can get the writer to do something for your art. Besides their picks, I also love guessing who the artist is from the style...
This is incredibly lovely and since I've currently buried my nose in books about perspective and such fun stuff, all I can think of is "How does she pull this off so flawlessly?!?" So as usual I love your depiction of the characters (ADAM! He's adorable), I do admit that my personal star of the whole thing are the backgrounds and all those little things you added in order to make the characters shine. Awesome stuff here ♥
I learned some perspective skills in 6th grade which helped handle simple compositions involving perspective. But this was the first time I had to draw layers of vanishing lines to get things right. So I warmed up how to draw perspective a little bit and after some serious struggle I was just glad it's over... but I love pitching Adam against landscapes as if he's lonely soul drifting about. Some objects in the pics still look off but I'm not gonna care...(bad attitude) But this fic did give me this opportunity to have a try at perspective :).
I still can't say enough how beautiful everything turned out! I can't pick any favorites because they're all awesome, I'm really glad we got to work together on this. :)
