I'm about to get slightly nerdy.
Poll Oh English, my EnglishI don't really think that was the best way to word that question, but hopefully you get my point.
I got a review that went something like "Though there's one little error that everyone makes, but it kinda irks me. There were a few times that you typed Roxas's when it's supposed to be Roxas'. It's no biggy, I've seen

Yea, I saw that stipulation too. And stared and tried to pronounce Roxas' v. Roxas's and had trouble. I pronounce words oddly. Though of course, Ghoti, so suck it English.
To be honest I don't remember how I learned apostrophes up until I took a grammar class my freshman year of college. That could be my poor memory, though I think it's more "nobody teaches English grammar right anymore woe." I am guilty of the alright though. I like the way it looks better. -shameless-
And no! You should have kept going! It was gold! xDDD No srsly, I lol'd forever. you should always comment on stuff at 6am hahaha.

According to my copy of Standard Handbook for Secretaries, both are technically correct, but the apostrophe-s combination is preferred. Personally, the "Roxas'" form looks too much like it's supposed to be a possessive plural, and as there is only one Roxas, that is not correct.
I got a similar review once telling me the same thing, and I came back immediately with "Actually, no." It's a common misconception, but the apostrophe-only form is archaic; there's no reason for modern fangirls to be using it. ^^

I agree with you about the possessive plural. It's not my main reason for using the apostrophe-s, since my main reason is "fuck yourr mother, Roxas's looks better to me, suck it," but it's one of them. Whenever I see I'm always like "Roxai, squee!" At least that way it looks um. Better.
I feel that previous paragraph made no sense. Woooeeeooo.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who got this. I just kind of ogled at it and went "um. Okay then." And wanted to properly defend myself before I sent back a response, and get a majority opinion. Not that this is uh. The majority. In any sense.
Right, I fail. Good day to you sir. :D
