[Prologue] [Chapter 1] [Chapter 2] [Chapter 3] [Chapter 4] [Chapter 5] [Chapter 6] "What are you doing here, Onew oppa?" Sekyung asked curiously as Onew himself helped her stand back up.
Onew glanced at Jonghyun & Key, then smirked a bit. "What are the odds?" he whispered to himself and held Sekyung's hand. "Come on, I made reservations at the 63 building. It's a stone throw away!" He murmured to her ear quickly as he led her out of the fish market.
Sekyung was still shocked and looked up at her handsome savior. "63 building?! Isn't that pretty expensive?!" she exclaimed.
The man simply gave her his eye smile and off they went to their destination. Sekyung couldn't stop blushing.
Meanwhile, Junghee's jaw dropped as she watched them walk away. The fuck was that about?! she thought to herself. She shook her head and walked back to Eunsook, where she continued selling fish and crab like a crazy swindler. What was worse was that customers easily believed her exaggerations of "This fish is better than that fish!" or some type of crazy hoax. Junghee rolled her eyes and shooed the customers away after they got what they wanted. She sighed as she watched Eunsook count the money she earned for the day.
"You know, Onew oppa & Sekyung unnie left for 63 building."
Eunsook stopped counting and looked down at her. "R-Really? So that means Jonghyun & Key - OH MY GOD!" She suddenly yelled out once she saw what was behind Junghee.
Junghee, confused, turned around and laughed upon seeing Gwiboon soaked in squid guts. The diva muttered incoherent words as she stood in front of Eunsook. "Rinse me, bitch." she spat. Eunsook & Junghee chuckled as the former complied and took a hose nearby, turning it on. She aimed it at Gwiboon and rinsed her away of the inky guts. Junghee told the girls she'll go and find clothes that are being sold nearby for Gwiboon. The latter simply growled as she wrapped a dry towel around her and Eunsook nodded in reply. Once Junghee left, Eunsook grinned at Gwiboon. "I take it the Almighty Bitch did this to you?"
Gwiboon grunted in reply. "I don't know what Jonghyun oppa sees in that skinny skank!" she hissed. Eunsook simply shook her head and continued to watch the fish stand for Minjung.
Wait, where is everybody else?
Minho & Taeyon stood in front of the latter's house in Incheon. It was already 4:35p.m., so the sun was about to set soon in the afternoon. The two silently turned around to find Minho's house, exactly across from Taeyon's house.
The two were standing next to each other in the middle of the street, feeling awkward since the quiet train ride over to Incheon.
"So," Minho began, turning to Taeyon, who snapped her head up to look at him. "I'm staying here for the weekend, what about you?"
"The same."
"Oh. Okay."
More awkward silence.
Taeyon suddenly coughed. "Well, I'd better get home and - OW! SHIT!" She suddenly cursed out, crouching to the ground. Minho sighed and crouched down beside her, taking a good look at her ankle.
"Geez, I told you not to strain yourself by walking. You know I could have walked you home while carrying you."
"But it'd be a real inconvenience, and I - "
"Aish, here!" Before Taeyon could think straight of what was going on, she let out a yelp as Minho carried her in his arms in a bridal style. He walked calmly towards Taeyon's house, despite the protests and struggles from the young girl. He knocked on the door and patiently waited until a kind looking, elderly woman opened the door. She gasped and grinned at Taeyon.
"FINALLY! MY ONLY DAUGHTER HAS A BOYFRIEND!" The woman screeched, causing Minho & Taeyon to flinch because of their eardrums. The woman turned around and shouted, "YEOBO! YOU'RE DAUGHTER'S HERE! AND THIS TIME SHE FINALLY CAUGHT A CATCH!"
"WHAT?!" Another person yelled and rushed to the door, smiling widely. "WOOHOO! SHE WON'T LIVE WITH US FOREVER!" He shouted, then high fived his wife. Taeyon groaned and hid her face in embarrassment. Minho blushed a bit but grinned, slowly getting the family situation. Cute, he thought to himself.
"Omma~! Appa~! Stop embarrassing me! We're not - " Taeyon began to explain before she was cut off by Minho.
"It's a pleasure meeting you two. My name is Choi Minho," He greeted himself and gestured to who he was holding. "Your daughter sprained her ankle from running, I guess, so I helped her over here." He tilted his head to the house across the street. "My family lives over there, by the way."
Taeyon's mother squealed and her father patted Minho on the back. "You can rest her on the couch while we go talk to your parents, is that okay?" He asked Minho. Before Taeyon could clear the misunderstanding, she was pretty surprised when Minho nodded with a smile on his face. He carried her to the couch while her parents ran across the street to greet Minho's family. As soon as he settled her down, she slapped him on the arm. "What the heck did you do?! Now they'll think we're dating!" Taeyon complained.
Minho shrugged and sat beside her. "Listen, I understand what you're going through. My parents do the same thing - by next year, if I don't have a girlfriend, they'll put me in an arranged marriage. I really don't want to be tied down yet." He explained.
Taeyon sighed in relief and leaned back on the couch. "Finally! Someone who gets me!" She exclaimed. Minho chuckled and leaned closely to her, enjoying the comfortable distance though they just met. "So... I take it you'll be my fake girlfriend for now? Especially away from fans?"
"Of course - it's a big secret!" Taeyon reasoned out and smiled. "My name is Lee Taeyon, by the way!" Her bubbly personality caught Minho's eye and his heart couldn't help but beat faster.
"It's Choi Minho, in case you forgot," he teased.
"Key, where are you taking me?"
Said man scoffed and stopped pulling Jonghyun. The latter scanned their surroundings - he found out they went to the 2nd floor of the fish market, where the restaurants are.
Key nodded towards the open restaurant nearby. "Let's go order something fresh, okay?" He suggested, though it sounded more like a command. Jonghyun trailed after him into the restaurant, about to pull out his wallet, but Key stopped him from doing so and already gave the lady at the register his money.
"Don't worry, Jjong. I got this, `kay?" He said in English slang that Jonghyun could understand because he'd been watching English shows when he went to London, trying to register their slang in his head.
Jonghyun nodded and blushed slightly. He felt like the girl on this 'outing' because he didn't pay, and that was bad for his image, considering he's the one between the two with muscles and abs. He pouted as he registered Key's height against his. Damn, why didn't I wear insoles today?
"Because you don't think, Jjong." Key bluntly replied and gave him a look. "Stop talking to yourself in public. It's starting to creep the customers out!"
He turned around, and indeed, a few people gave him weird glances but went right back to eating. He sighed and turned to pay attention to Key's conversation to the lady at the register. " - and 2 sojus, please. Ah - don't worry, I'll order it down there myself, by the way." The lady nodded and turned back to the kitchen.
Key turned to Jonghyun and smiled. "What kind of sashimi dishes did you want to eat?"
Jonghyun looked up at the choices listed on the wall and hesitantly pointed at an order. Key squinted his eyes so he could read carefully. "Flower crab and oysters? Good pick. I'll tell downstairs our orders, okay?" The shorter boy nodded and sat near the window as Key walked outside. He watched him with curiosity filled in his mind once Key leaned against the wall, peering down at the market. He cupped his hands around his mouth, and - oh God, Jonghyun got the hint. He clasped his hands onto his ears as he heard Key shout really loud.
"YAH! WE WANT A FLOWER CRAB AND OYSTERS ON ONE DISH - AND ADD 3 OYSTERS ON THAT DISH! WE ALSO WANT ABALONE IN ANOTHER DISH - AND DON'T FORGET TO BUTTER GRILL THE ABALONE! BACK TO THE FLOWER CRAB, MAKE SURE TO MIX THE CRAB EGGS AND INNARDS WITH FRIED RICE - MIX THE RICE, FOR US, PLEASE! THANK YOU!!!"
The whole 2nd floor continued to whack their ears until they were able to hear again. Jonghyun couldn't help but chuckle as Key came back, remaining unfazed, as if he wasn't just now shouting like a crazed man on steroids. "What?" Key narrowed his eyes at him.
"Nothing, you're cute," Jonghyun mumbled absentmindedly after he was done chuckling. Key simply grinned at him.
"You're much more cuter, though, hyung."
Jonghyun suddenly blushed from the way Key called him cute. He used his husky voice, which was really manly, but never used because he had to maintain a diva-like image to the media public. Key smirked and continued to talk to him with the husky voice, the both of them not noticing a certain short girl passing by slowly with a device strapped to her ear, pleased with the way things turned out. She decided to walk back downstairs to her friends.
"I have to report this to Minjung - fast!" Junghee mumbled to herself as she dialed a familiar phone number and pressed it against her ear.
Taemin led Minjung to the kitchen and smiled at her sheepishly. "Sorry for dragging you to this dinner - I really didn't think my family needed more people to help with this grand supply of food!" He apologized to her sincerely. Earlier, once Minjung was seen by Taemin's relatives, they automatically pulled her to the house and insisted she stayed and helped cook. Minjung couldn't stand the numerous puppy pouts heading her way, so she reluctantly agreed.
Minjung sighed as she sliced a king crab open, deciding on making Crab Ragoon. She drained and chopped half a pound of the meat. "It's okay, my friends are taking care of my stall anyway," she reassured him.
The young boy nodded and ripped 2 pounds worth of snow crab legs, deciding on making Boiled Alaskan Snow Crab. He then took 2 or 3 lemons from a basket nearby. He looked around, noticing the big kitchen being really crowded and busy of nearly all his relatives. "My family is really keen on cooking a lot, so that would explain the expansion of the kitchen." He chuckled as he cute each lemon in half carefully.
"I noticed....it's really nice..." Minjung smiled beside him as she took a nearby cream cheese container and took half a pound of it into a cup. She felt settled in comfortably around the crowded place and relaxed a bit as she took a teaspoon of A-1 sauce. "Oh, oppa, are you going to participate in the graduation this year? I heard that SHINee schedules are conflicting with your graduation."
"Ah, yeah, I'm graduating but I'm not going to the ceremony. It's just high school anyway - college graduations are more important," Taemin answered as he took Old Bay Seasoning, pepper, and garlic salt from the cabinets in front of Minjung. He paused a bit, staring at his schoolmate beside him. "So....your family runs a fish market business?"
Minjung nodded and took garlic powder in the cabinet right in front of her, where Taemin took the other spicy seasonings. "Someday, I want to be a chef, especially for seafood. It's my specialty."
Taemin nodded and smiled to himself while filling a big pot with water. He felt really comfortable with Minjung and actually had a crush on her a bit. He had seen her in school more than once whenever he was able to go, but had no courage to ask her out, especially with being an idol. For now, he was content with this - cooking beside her became a wonderful memory for him, other than joining in SHINee.
"Onew oppa, do you think Jonghyun oppa & Key-sshi are fine?" Sekyung asked cautiously as she and Onew walked into the Love Elevator. She tried not to think too much of it as they spent almost a minute in there. Everything was nearly forgotten until after the ride, when Onew answered her question after going to the elevator down to the basement for 63 Sea World.
"I'm sure they'll be okay. It'll give Jonghyun a chance to cool down before receiving his end of the bet." Onew grinned and wiggled his eyebrows, causing Sekyung to laugh.
Not once did Onew let go of Sekyung's hand since the Love Elevator, and the young actress couldn't help but smile at that fact.
After Key & Jonghyun finished eating, the latter realized that he had ditched his date. He facepalmed as they walked out of the restaurant, soju in hand for each person.
"Aish, I left Sekyung-sshi downstairs! I bet she left already, damn!" Jonghyun cursed to himself, causing Key to grimace a bit. He felt a little angry that his friend was thinking about someone else while he was hanging out with him.
Right before he was about to scold the elder man, they both heard a sudden ringtone melody. Jonghyun reached into his pocket and checked his phone. "Hey, it's a message from Onew hyung...."
"Oh? What does it say?" Key asked worryingly as he leaned closer to him to see the message. He burst out in laughter once he saw the text.
It was a picture of Onew & Sekyung at 63 Sea World, smiling with peace signs. Below the picture, was an actual text that said: Sorry, dongsaeng. I have a date with her~ therefore losers shall cooperate! No bargaining the deal - we had an agreement! Ah, and Sekyung-sshi says hi~
Jonghyun grumbled and pouted, putting his cellphone away. He frowned at a hysterical Key.
"Yah! Why are you laughing at my misery?!" he tried scolding, but failed as he pouted again.
Key slowly ceased his laughter and apologized, ruffling his older friend's hair. He almost forgot that no one else was supposed to know the bet between Onew & Jonghyun; especially the punishment for the loser of the bet. He covered it up by making fun of Jonghyun's new hairstyle look. "You look like Amber~!"
"I do not~!"
Jonghyun stomped his feet and pouted more, trying stomp away, but he didn't realize he was swaying his hips by accident. Key, trailing behind, couldn't help but lick his lips, eyeing Jonghyun's ass.
Oh God, how is he not claimed yet?! I'd tap that ass! - why.....the fuck am I thinking about?! Key shook his head and ran towards Jonghyun, smacking his ass and loving the whine that came afterwords.
