Hahha good question. I'll be completely honest... At that point it had been more than a year since I'd had a boyfriend and I was starting to get rather desperate. Pyle was paying a lot of attention to me and I liked it... After dating him longer I realized we weren't exactly the best match ever :)

"K'van" is the name of a dragonrider in Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series. More importantly it is a name that my parents read and liked so much that gave it to a cat. And later to a child.
