I've never read any of the Dresden Files, but did see the short lived TV show and enjoyed it quite a bit. I love the sarcastic voice of this! I may have to go check out some of the books! Do they start out with him young, or is her already a PI in them?

I liked the TV show too! It wasn't quite as good as the books, but they got the style down pretty well.

The books start out when he's already a P.I, about twenty-fourish or so, I believe. They're great, hilarious books, I think you'd dig 'em. Lots of snark and magic, intrigue and a dash of romance. The plots and supporting cast are great, too.

I'm actually just ordering Summer Knight with my birthday money, and you've made me excited for more =D

I particularly like the talk of his fractured happiness, it feels very Harry even though it's written in third person compared to the book.

Either way, I loved this =D you should so write more Dresden fic =D I'd read it without a shadow of a doubt!

Yay! I'm glad you liked it...I am planning on writing some more Dresden fic... maybe next time I'll try first person POV instead.
