“No, I’m not,” Tonks said boredly, walking right past her. She caught a glance of Dawlish, standing behind the toad. He rolled his eyes and shook his head, mouthing the words ‘crazy old slag.’

And here I always thought Dawlish was a bit of a douche! I kind of dig him now!

“Perce, touch me and I’ll destroy you.”

You know that kid is scared to death of her! I always thought Ron was a bit too. The rest of the Weaslys Think she Rocks though!

Me too! Which is why I had him direct his inherent douche-ness toward someone who deserves it, lol. XD I have a feeling even the regular Aurors wouldn't want to be ordered around by Umbridge.

I always thought Ron was a bit too.

I agree, though I've always felt like the twins probably shared a crush on her. She seems like just their cup o' tea. XD

LOVE this. I'm sorry that I don't have time to leave the kind of review it deserves, but what a great mixture of humor, angst, and characterization.

I love that Remus doesn't show his anger until it's on Tonks's behalf.

And, oh my goodness, Mr. Montgomery. I've even been thinking about that timeframe in HBP recently, and even so the name didn't click until Umbridge's big moment. I love what you did with him -- how we're not sure just how sympathetic he's going to be, but then he comes through with absolutely flying colors.

Thank you!!! I'm especially glad you like Mr. Montgomery - I've always had this image of him in my mind as someone who, if he wouldn't give in to the Death Eaters, wouldn't give in to Umbridge either.

LOL! I liked Fleur a lot more after that hospital scene in HBP. Before that I thought she was a twit.

Well, she's kind of a twit, anyway. But I like her! XDDD

Haha, I've always thought of poor Dawlish as someone who's just bored with it all, and is kind of a jerk. I'm glad you liked him! XD

Oh, this is wonderful! It's so 'you' with all the humour amid the angst and chaos of another Lupin wedding - and I love how they emerge triumphant from all the indignities of the day, and well and truly married as well!

I could quote the whole fic back to you, but this made me snort:

“We-ell…you know that thing you’ve always said I should try but I’ve never done?”
She stared at him, completely confused.
He flushed slightly. “Not that thing. The other thing.”

Montgomery made me want to cheer (I didn't click immediately with the name, either), as did Fleur, and this was my favourite line of all:

I can live with that, but if you don’t leave my wife alone, there will be hell to pay, woman.”

I love angry Remus there, probably nearly as much as Tonks, lol.

Mr. Montgomery is a character I've always wanted to write, there's so little mention of that situation in the books and it's so intriguing. Yay, drama! XD
