I didn't know you were born in Germany. How long did you live there?

I was born in Bad Cannstatt and left when I was 2. We went back when I was a teenager and spent 3 years in Herzogenaurach.

Interesting. :) Did you like it, or would you rather have stayed in one place? I know changing schools is always hard. My family moved around a lot when I was growing up, but most of it was within the same city so it was not too big of a change, aside from having to go to a new school.

I always thought I would have loved to live and go to school in one place. Have friends from kindergarten through high school. I was so shy that it was difficult to move every three years and have to make new friends. It didn't help that my older brothers (twins) would come home after one day with friends. I started my senior year of high school in Germany and ended the year in California. That doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy the different places we saw and the different (mostly) apartments we lived in. And whenever we were out of the country, we were pretty close, as a family, because we couldn't sit in front of the tv. We found other things to do together. So, all in all, I wouldn't change how I grew up.
