prompt: week twenty-two (challenge)
There was a serious lack of voting at the last post so I've worked out a compromise concerning this round. We'll be doing a regular prompt but also mixing it up a little bit. (After all, this is a challenge community, I gotta keep you guys on your toes somehow!) Fics for this round will still be prompt-inspired but the length has been extended. Rather than the 100-300 word usual, all fics entered in this round should be between 300-500 words. A couple of you have been requesting this particular change ;)
Now, inkstainedskin won the free-for-all challenge with Reasons Why but no one listed any prompts on the voting post so I will be choosing the word this time around. However, because I promised a 'little something extra' for the winner (it being a super!round and all), Jenn will be getting a very small prize in the form of a I'm Above the Rules pass.
Good for two uses, this 'pass' will essentially let her participate in her very own free-for-all challenge whenever she likes. If I post a prompt that she finds uninspiring/lame/etc, she may ignore it and enter a ficlet that has nothing to do with that prompt. So long as it follows all of the other requirements, she will still be placed in the voting poll. To redeem this pass, all she has to do is clearly mention that she is 'above the rules' in her author's note. Again, she can use it twice in whatever round she likes. There is no expiration date. Congratulations to Jenn!
This week's prompt is unrequited.
The rules are still (mostly) the same.
+ Your ficlet must be between 300-500 words.
+ It (obviously) must feature a crossover ship from an allowed fandom.
+ It (obviously) must feature the prompt in some (however abstract) way.
+ Post your ficlet directly to the community in it's own entry (with a real or fake cut).
+ All entries must be turned in by January 16, 2008 at midnight (eastern time).
+ Tags for your entry should be: *all fiction, prompt: week twenty-two, user: fillintheblank
+ Multiple entries are not only allowed, but encouraged, so feel free to submit up to three fics!!
