Well what I would do is, if can't see a doctor straight away, then I'd buy some pills (for whatever illnesses) and go to holidays. Really I would - cos it'd be important for me and take pictures. Of course, during the vacation I think make sure you check your temp every day, sleep 8 hours total and take your medicine with you everywhere you go. Also, I think its gonna be hard but stay positive, keep your mind positive. If you think of 'positive' stuff - the illness won't affect you so easily!!!!!

Good luck!!!

It's so hard to stay positive in that kind of situation, though :(

I think what I'll do is NOT taking the first train in the morning, but instead go to my doctor in the morning, hopefully get some good meds, see what he says and take a later train.
Or, if it's really bad, stay home for a few days where I stay in bed and take my meds and departure a few days later than planned. Still better than not going at all :(

I'd get some medicine and rough it! Even if you're sick, it could turn out to be enjoyable. You'll regret it if you miss out.

Well, I already took some "normal" medicine today, but it didn't help much.
Antibiotics would definitely help more, but of course only if it's a bacterial infection .....

I think the best thing is to do to postpone my departure tomorrow (the highlight is a firework festival at night, I can easily make it until then) and go see my doctor tomorrow morning instead, see what he says and get some good meds and then take the train.
I'd lose half a day - 3/4 of a day through that, but that's alright, I guess.

Depending on what the diagnoses and says I might stay home for a few days, let the antibiotics work (if I get some) and start my vacation then.

I think getting up in less than 4 hours to get the first train in the morning isn't the best choice in my current situation.
I can explore the things I wanted to the day after tomorrow (when I actually wanted to attend a festival, but it's alright ...)

Definitely go to the doctor and see what he/she says first ( ... )

I highly suggest you go see a doctor, even if it postpones your vacation somewhat. I got pneumonia this March and stayed sick for almost a month, and it has since left me so exhausted after I somewhat recovered from it now it's not unusual for me to sleep 12 hours +++ every day -_- thus my life is a mess right now. So yeah, better take this seriously even though it's not pneumonia. I guess some meds should do the trick. Also, summer when it is warm is an awful time to get sick, even worse than winter I think, so at least go see a doctor :) I would do that and still go on the trip afterwards, then you'll know you at least did something for your health AND get to travel like you wanted ;) Good luck *hugs* ^-^

Well my mother got sick while I was in Japan with her. At the point where it was clear that she could not get up in the morning we went to a local doctor and she got her meds there. We still traveled back to Tokyo as planed but she only stayed in the hotel for two days and than was fine enough to travel again. I did change the itinerary though to make it easier for her.

I'd say if you think you can travel do it, but get to a doctor if Aspirin and Co. don't seem to work. If necessary stay in your hotel to rest a day. You might still be able to get out in the evening for a bit?

Of course if you're already too miserable to travel in the morning. Stay at home and change your itinerary (cutting out the necessary days). Usually when you push it back instead of canceling the hotel might look favorably and not charge cancellation fees.

I wish you all the best and hope it's not as bad as you think. Fresh air and sun might be just what you need instead of climatized rooms all the time!
