Your pictures were wonderful, as always, I am sorry Mt. Fuji was not making an appearance after that very short bit in the morning. I am so envious of you, wonderful sightseeing opritunities ^___^
Yes, wonderful sightseeing opportunities which is why I chose to go there in the first place, but at the same time it was risky because Kawaguchiko is one of those places that can suck if the weather isn't good ;o;
This report was really interesting & your photos were perfect! I really wish to visit Japan one day in the future & specially Mt. Fuji. *O* I wonder which season would you recommend the most to visit Mt. Fuji? & I'll make sure to have breakfast when I'll be there! xD
I LOLed @"They only have toilets for samurais and geishas" haha
Thank you very much (^-^) Hm, it depends on what you actually want to do. If you want to take some nice scenery photos then spring (cherry blossoms) or autumn (with fire-red autumn leaves) are best! Winter is what you see in my entry. Summer is not so nice, because there's rainy season in June which means it will be difficult to get to see Mt. Fuji as it's almost everyday cloudy. Also, there's no snow on the top, so Mt. Fuji doesn't look as pretty. However, if you actually want to climb it, then summer is the only time you can do it!! (July-August) I did this year, but again was very unlucky with the weather (hello, typhoon ..) yet I made it to the top which was an awesome feeling ^-^
Wow you really got yourself some exercise getting up that hill!! The photos you took were awesome, and I agree, it's really nice with some clouds round Fuji-san, as long as you can see the top that is ;) The music forest looks really interesting as well!
And that twice!! :D I don't know, when I'm travelling I seem to have some extra powers that I wouldn't have otherwise. Just like ... I'm saving up all my power for my journeys XD
I saw a picture taken from that same pagoda with mt.fuji on the background quite some time ago on deviantart, and I thought: wow, this is awesome! now thanks to your trip I know where to go look for it next time! \(^o^)/ even if it was cloudy, the early morning views of fujisan are great, it really adds atmosphere.
the shrine in the forest looks really beautiful and peaceful, I loved it!
the "music forest" (??).. well.. it's soooooo japanese in its "european style"! ^_^' anyway, that little church with lightened windows and stormy background is really pretty!
Me, too!! When I was researching for my trip I saw some pictures of this pagoda with Mt. Fuji and then found out where it is and I just HAD to go there. It must be REALLY awesome in spring or autumn, though (and probably super crowded!)
