you've taken soo many beautiful pictures, those gardens look really amazing, i never knew you could see european writing etc so often in Japan (aside form English of course) I want to eat Sakura Cake (^______^)
Was this with the new camera? I don't know if its my screen...but these pictures don't seem as vibrant as the pictures from your last post. Well, the colors were more vibrant on the indoor shots this time around...
Either way, these shots were amazing. I especially like some of those last shots. The sky really was amazing! Oddly enough, skies like that are bad luck here.
All of my photos of this vacation are mixed: old and new camera. That the colors are not so vibrant might be because the sky was gray almost all of the time? :/ NOt sure, though XD
Clear skies= no rain= slow running streams= few fish coming in=no food for bears=bears come in to town=bears attack people=wildlife control kills bears.
Or something like that. I've come to notice that most things around here run around water so rain and rainy weather is really important.
Wow, that's interesting. First time I heard about it :) Well, we had so much rain here last year (maybe you remember?) that there were landslides, people died and I was without running water for a week -__-; .... So rain's not always good :/
Waaaah ラッキー!!!! It's so rare for people to be able to visit inside the palace, I remember you need a special permission otherwise if I'm not sorely mistaken, so you did indeed visit at the right time :D Even though the gardens are enough for me (plus the exterior of the castle of course), exploring it inside is definitely the icing of the cake. Thanks so much for sharing photos, I highly doubt they'll be open to the public when I go there ^_^
And thanks for the recommendation on Ryoanji, the surroundings and especially the lake, is really breathtaking! :)
I've always wanted to taste kitsune udon! Thus far I've only tried simple kake udon and nabeyaki udon, as I usually always go for soba (my fave noodle), but I love abura age so I'm sure it's delicious, and cheap when you're on the go ^_^ And that sakura cake looks so lovely :3
Yay! For once I was really lucky!!!! Glad to have been there again and this time in spring and then also INSIDE! Last time I went there I was kind of lucky, too, as there was a lot of police standing around and then expensive looking limousines were passing by. It was the German prime minister (Angela Merkel) and whoever was prime minister of Japan at that time! XD
You're welcome :) I'm sure you'll like it!!! :D The sakura cake was nice, too, yes :3
