[Japan Photos]: Hakone

Jan 23, 2008 17:32

Okay, I'm just here to jump in, throw some Japan photos at you again and then disappear asap! XD

Let's go outside of Tokyo this time!
In my 3rd week (when I was staying at Yumi-chan's) Yumi-chan and I went to Hakone, which is like 2 hours away from Tokyo (depending on where you start from of course).
The main reason to go there was of course to SEE MOUNT FUJI!!! (*___*) .... we were not lucky on that day though ... as it was very cloudy almost all of the time and so ... we couldn't see Fuji-san ;o; ..... but apart from that Hakone is ONE AWESOME PLACE and if you ever have time and are near Tokyo, you should go there as well!~

Yumi-chan and me took tons of photos, I had a hard time to choose, but here we go:

On our way to Hakone, we took some photos out of the train. We saw some awesome landscapes! (*_*)

Sado? Ichigo wa? XD ....

(*__*) Awesome, right? And as you can see ... very cloudy ;___; ...

Yay, the sun is coming out! At this point we still hoped that we might be able to see Fuji-san (^^;)

Well, we did ride everything you can ride (train, ship, cable car etc., but you'll see soon).
I just like this pic, that's why I'm posting it. (No, I don't know the person on the pic.)

Just some random shots while we were waiting for our next transportation opportunity :D

By the way: While we were waiting there, Yumi-chan bought me manju! First time for me, but they were OF COURSE yummie XD

After riding with a cablecar we were quite "high" (for Japanese standards?) already ^^

Well that was the thing we rode to come there .... uhm .. whatever XD

Next was this: gondola!

WOAH! Nice view! ^^ You shouldn't be afraid of heights though ;P

Ennngrish XD ....

And we're almost there! Highest place of our journey! Oh that yellow stuff is sulfur/brimstone!

As you can imagine it ... stank! XD

And, we're up there.

Hooo~ over 1000m? Not too bad (^^')

A lot of people were going up to those brimstone sources (??!). You can throw a normal egg in there and it comes out black again and where we had our lunch, they had those eggs as well. Yumi-chan ate one, me not ... whyy?? ;___; .... It's said to be very yummie :)

Yes well ... a round trip and you really use all kinds of transportation thingies XD

After our lunch and a short break we were on our way again. This time it's going DOWN!

UWOOOAAHH!!!! (*_______________*)v

Okay ... so this is what we use next?! XD

Finally down there, walking around a bit while waiting for OUR ship XD

Yes, that was our ship (*__*) Johnny Depp wa?!? XD

Okay ... not ONLY our ship, as you can see there were "some" other people as well that wanted to get on that ship XD

That's such a funny shot XDDDD .. No, I don't know that guy, and I was not stalking anybody this time ... there were just so many people around, that I had no other choice XD You could not take a photo WITHOUT any other people on it XD

Another ship that was crossing our way .... it is not bad either, huh? (*_*)

Bye, bye shippie! XD

I smell one of those red evil thingies again ... (>___>) ... they really are EVERYWHERE! XD

Oh, and yet another ship! (^-^)/

We reached our goal and left our ship ;o;
No, and I won't start with the "machi" / "chou" rant again (町).

Our ship leaving us behind ;O; .... XD

GRAAAH!!!! (T________________T) ...

Sorry ... I just love this photo! :)

Errm ... just took this one because of ....... HAMTARO! XD *nerd*

German flag + "Bratwurst"!!! XD

On our way to the bus stop (bus = next transportation option).

GRAH!!! ;o; ... it's so near ... and so big .... and so red -___-; ... it was right next to the bus stop -__- .. XDDDDD

WAAAAAH! (;________;)

Camera used:
Sony Cybershot DSC-W1

EEEhhmmm. Yes, that's all for today. There's so much more to see in Hakone, so there are a lot of hotels around! Some day I have to visit it again!

Bye-cha~ (^^)/
