At first I found this quite surprising, but on second thought it completely makes sense. Another reason not to publish in Science or Nature.... but Cell,  you have let me down. :( Yay for Biochemistry!

So we won our first softball game of the season tonight (by the way, the season ends this week and we were playing against a team that only had 6 players show up). I actually made a good play by catching a fly ball. It was really awesome. I was so surprised that I actually caught it, which made it funny. I finally caught the cold that Juan has had for the last week. I feel so horrible. I woke up with such a bad headache and things are still going downhill. I'm going to finish my western and go home. :(

Shin splints are very painful. VERY painful. :(

Michael (my undergrad) is transferring a blot today. He went and set it up and came back a little confused. He said that after changing the transfer buffer in the apparatus, he couldn't get the current up to 750 mAmps, instead it stopped at 666 mAmps and would not go higher. I laughed and told him that his blot is the spawn of Satan.

I'll be posting some milestones on my half marathon training.

Ran 5k today, without walking, in about 33 minutes. Solid 10 minute miles. A good 4-5 minutes faster than Race for the Cure a little over a month ago.
