Doctor Who - Stolen Earth Scifi

I just watched Stolen Earth and it wasn't ripped apart too badly. I thought that they kept the balance between the characters about the same as the orginal and a lot of the little moments I remembered were still in this version. I'm glad we knew to avoid the promo which, I'm told, gives everything away since Jay mostly unspoiled.

I was pleased as well that the episode wasn't ripped to bits, however this Friday's ep, is going to suck! Because it ran 65 min, I shudder to think what they'll do to this one.

And good thing you kept Jay away from the preview, those dorks gave away the big secret!

Oh, this Friday's shouldn't be badly altered at all, since they're giving it a 90-minute timeslot. The bad news, of course, is that since that doesn't fit their anal retentive programming slots, there's very little chance of it ever being aired on SciFi again.

That should be fun. Imagine a Friday marathon of s4 that just stops with the cliffhanger of the Doctor about to regenerate.

I can imagine the yells as viewers go from midregeneration to some unrelated episode. However, I think the specials go for 90 minutes too. So, they could pair Journey's End with the Christmas special and it would all end on the hour.

We've decided to avoid scifi previews as a general rule. They gave away HUGE plot points on BSG a couple of times last season. Very annoying! I had my hand on the remote and as soon as the regeneration was in full swing, I clicked us out. Of course, Jay has already figured out that David Tennant sticks around just because of the lack of screaming from when I viewed the finale.

As for next week, dynapink has it. It'll be 1 1/2 hours. So minimal cuts!
