Yes, it makes the show quite interesting that each character has such different motivations and history but they all have come together for the same purpose.

I personally find him a bit too conservative in his views but he seems like a decent person otherwise. And I agree that he is quite nice to look at.

You forgot to mention Bear!

I agree with everything you said!

I still can't believe you haven't seen LOST! What's the matter with you, woman? ;) That's where I was introduced to Michael Emerson. He is simply amazing! I had the extreme pleasure of seeing him and his wife, Carrie Preston, live in NYC. Such an amazingly talented actor.

But I included a picture of him! And I almost put in a bullet point about him but I thought it might be spoilery for anyone who is behind on the season.

Heh. Lost is one the list but I actually don't watch much tv. I generally watch an hour a night or less. Right now I have all kinds of shows sitting on the dvr to be watched someday. (And these are shows I like and really want to keep up on!)

I agree with you on all accounts! I'm only in the middle of season 1 at the moment, as I am watching on German TV. I would've missed it, but my brother gave me the first three episodes and said I should watch it. We often watch shows together and then discuss.

It was a nice surprise to find Michael Emerson in it, I had no idea. I also know him from "Lost" of course. I'm intrigued by the whole idea, with the machine and surveillance - it's not THAT far fetched nowadays.

And I love Carter, sometimes she seems to be the only good among a row of bad cops.

If you can, watch it in English. Their voices are amazing in English. I love Caziel's low rumble and Emerson's voice. Their German voices seem quite lackluster.

I actually did recently with one episode! My tape recorder hadn't recorded anything, so I went looking. And I just found this awesome place where you can watch TV series online.

Usually I prefer watching with subtitles but I didn't need them at all (I think American English is easier to understand than British English)

I was VERY surprised about Emerson's voice. I actually like his German voice, it's the same he had in "Lost", and I think it fits well. As for Caziel, I understand now why people on IMDB think he wispers too much. Had a bit trouble to catch everything he said.

I'm sometimes a bit lazy though and prefer to sit at the couch instead in front of a laptop. It's more comfortable ;)

There are things where I cannot imagine going back to the German ever again after seeing them in English ("Stargate", "Doctor Who", "Torchwood"...) but I don't mind so far. I'll see what the future brings (it was funny that the bad guy who shot him had the voice of Captain Jack Harkness LOL)

I missed the first few episodes of season one but I've been watching ever since and I think it has gotten better from early-mid season one to now. Now that they have worked through some of the setup they can delve in deeper and add more layers. Also, they are very good about dropping hints and then paying them off later.

Carter is rather surrounded by corruption but at least she has Reese and Finch watching her back when they can. I like that they respect her.

Funny, I had the impression that they are both very careful of personal space but in the one picture in the rain it seems non-existant :)

I love PoI. So far it did not wrong. Considering that it's already way into season two that's amazing!

Well they have been getting closer and closer as they get to know each other! :)

I worry more once we are past season 3 since that is when the weight of a show's mythology can catch up with it. Right now it's all good though!
