Ready for a REALLY LONG REVIEW? I've been slowly writing this all day but I'm finally done. *whew* There is lots to talk about here.

Okay, I think I've calmed down from watching the episode and I can write a post with actual content in it. *g* And now I even have time to do so. Onto the review...

Yes, yes, and yes.

I would have been happier if Gold had just a little dialogue in the woods with Belle along the lines of "just roll with me, honey, and all will be explained;" but, we did get "there'll be time for all that." My hope is that his genuine need for magic in order to find Bae, along with their history, will create just enough angst next season to keep their arc electric ( ... )

Hi, I was looking through your icons and you have some lovely ones. Did you make most of those?

I completely agree with everything you said about Rumple!

Is Maleficent the one Regina stole the curse from? Or took it back from her?

I also agree with everything you said about Regina and makes me feel just a teeny bit bad for her. Ha!

I'm also curious to see how the Charming dynamics are worked out.

You don't think Belle remembers her past? Then how did she know she loved Rumple? If she doesn't remember anything else, do you think she'll ever remember or should at some point?

Sidney is down where? Was he put with Belle? I don't remember!

I loved when Rumple caught the sword, too. Hee! I've always loved to watch sword fights, too.

Remind me what the deal was that Emma made with Gold.

Regina dealt with Rumpel for the curse and then traded it to Maleficent and then stole it back in The One You Love Most.

Regina has just enough layers and moments of doing something good that it is hard not to sympathize with sometimes. And then she squeezes someone's heart and you remember she is evil. :) I still love her though. I think she is a great character.

Belle did not remember her past when she was let out of the asylum and when she found Mr. Gold. Like everyone else she did remember once Emma broke the curse. (Lots of fanfic has her remembering all along and then I wonder why they hate Belle so much since that would be torture.)

We saw a name tag on a room next to hers that said S. Glass. Poor guy! When will anyone even realize he is down there?

Way back in Price of Gold she made a deal for a favor if he gave up Ashley's baby. He hasn't cashed it in yet and now he can enforce it with magic.

Okay, that's what I thought. :)

She really is a great character!

I thought you meant she still didn't have all her memory back...

Oh, wow! I'd hope someone lets him out!

Oh, okay. Thanks!

I agree with this needs. It was a wee shame to have everything happen so quickly for Rumbelle - I would have liked some angst about sending her away, some time to remember - but that's what fanfic is for ;)

Also what next season is for! There wasn't time in the finale to do more than have them reunite but they have issues and I doubt the writers have forgotten them. Writers love relationship angst (just see Snow and Charming for the proof) and I get the feeling it is not always going to be smooth sailing for them.

A very thorough review. I'm about to put my own up but it's going to be decidedly different from yours *chuckles* Anyway, it seems like everyone's got mixed opinions, but hey, fandom wouldn't be interesting if we ALL agreed on everything, now, would it? ^.^

Thank you. :)

I did notice you were not as happy with the finale as I was. *g* On the plus side for you Gold really screwed over Emma but good so she is going to like him even less than before.

Well considering I'm not Team Emma or RumBelle, it was doubtful I'd be entirely pleased with the finale, but there were things I enjoyed just the same (Rumpel with a sword, oh yes). But yeah, on the plus side, he has screwed things up with Emma so...there is that.

(Our icons are eye-sexing each other *giggle*)

You are right about Rumpel. ALL FOR BAE, DEARIE. Heeee! I'm not sure if Bae wants to be found by him after all this. I do feel bad for him, though. He is going about it the wrong way and doesn't seem to realize all these years later that Bae doesn't want his father to win with magic. Oh, Rumpel.

(Regina only has one so would not do - furthermore Henry doesn't love her so it was never going to be her.)
Aww. Regina loves Henry, but Emma is the key like Dawn was on Buffy. Well, not like that but you understand my point. She's the Chosen One. Now, Regina? If she'd kissed Daniel way back when when she was still innocent like Snow? That would have worked. Her pure true love was stole from her.

I do think it is very important that she was willing to admit everything and give up power for him.I think it was important but not enough as you pointed out. I'm not sure if she's lost him forever. She raised him for ten years. Part of him will always be hers. But how much is she really willing to sacrifice for him? He doesn't want her using ( ... )

But everything so far he has done has used magic! Making the curse used magic. The curse itself used magic. I'm not sure why anyone thought the next step would be any different! He was willing to give up his magic when he thought he had Bae since then he didn't need it but I see no way to ever find Bae without it. Beyond that, it would be too easy and shallow an arc if he figured out everything in one season.

Even if Regina had the PUREST love for Henry, it still wouldn't work! Emma IS true love and it was always her kiss that would give everyone their memories. Beyond that Henry rejects Regina's love and I think both people need to accept the power.

Question: Magic is back? Magic was never here. Yeah, I was unclear there. It's not BACK - it's HERE which is a different idea since we never had magic before. As for the rest of the world, I hope it is limited to Storybrooke since I think adding magic everywhere makes the story too messy and over complicated. Basically what Rumpel did was bring FTL land here instead of sending everyone ( ... )

Sometimes I do wonder what's going on in the world around Storybrooke? Kathryn is trying to have an apartment in Boston. I mean does it really exist for them? Could Emma take custody of Henry? Legally? I know it makes the story messier, but it's weird that they're in this vacuum.

I think you need a man you find hot to really delve into a fandom! Just my theory, though!
