I think BoP might be in its death throes, which is a shame, 'coz I love Dana Delaney and this show was consistently entertaining.

The show really seems to be flailing about trying to figure out what it wants to be, or rather trying to figure out how to grab an audience which isn't the best plan since characters start to lose their integrity when they are shoved in different directions every week

Can you expand on that? I'm interested to hear about anything in specific that made you say that. I love the show, but it def has some major flaws and I'm curious what you've noticed about it! (the one thing I like was that it didn't push Megan/Peter too hard- sure, they're the main OTP but it's not being shoved down my throat too much)

Castle... *sigh* The adults are acting like such children, it's getting on my nerves. I don't ship Castle/Beckett at all anymore because of how they're acting. This is why I like subtext! Shows ruin things for me when they pursue them!

It just seems as though they are throwing every plot twist they can think of at the characters. We had Megan's boss in bed with her ex-husband and a big problem there and then he disappeared. We've had a number of possible romances for Megan appearing and disappearing (though I do approve of Jamie Bamber and his accent on the show). Dr. Curtis becoming the boss and then Kate back as boss again. And now the epidemic and Dani getting fridged to give Peter some angst.

For me it's not pursuing that doesn't work, it's the twists they need to come up with for NOT pursuing. I have a low tolerance for shows being tied up in pretzels so that the leads can not be in a relationship.

The show just needs to NOT do romance, lol, it doesn't write it well. Although I didn't think the Kate/Todd (? was that his name? Because I only just put it together now- omg, NCIS!) relationship was that bad, I kinda liked the conflict there because I always thought the family dynamic was one of the things the show did best, and the mess and complications were interesting to me ( ... )

I agree on them not doing romance very well. It's like they are not sure if they want to be a nighttime soap or a procedural and so they don't commit to either.

Yeah, the thing with Peter and Dani didn't work for me. While she was alive he would barely give her the time of day while continuing to have sex with her and now she is a tragic love lost.

So far I haven't seen much to indicate that the show ships Peter and Megan - which I've appreciated. I'm fine with them being friends and having other love interests.

Oh, they did. Starbuck has kept on snuggling and licking me since we got home. And Apollo keeps on walking about and yowling that we didn't brush him for TEN days. :)

Do your kitties give you a bit of a cold shoulder upon arrival? We get a few hours of it every time before cuddliness resumes.

Yea! New couch! I am very happy for you, that's exciting.

Bruises. I recently realized that I was bruising myself by holding my mug weird at work. I had just remarked at home that I thought I bruise rather easily - and then came to this realization - I felt vindicated.

Very much yea for picspams and crushing on un-young actors! Brava!

Bones. Oh dear. It was so good in the beginning. It really was! I cannot offer any explanation for what it is today.

Castle. I love Castle. I think that a bit of the stalling of the romantic relationship in this season is a bit much - I would have been perfectly happy if there had been some real development of this after the bank robbery episode - but I have faith and am hoping that only great things are in store.

I'm so glad you had a nice trip! Coming home is always lovely. I look forward to your posts after you've settled in again.

They are definitely skittish but they get over it pretty quick and turn to demanding. Extreme cuddliness starts up the second day once they have decided we are staying.

It was exciting! \o/ The old couch was falling apart so it feeling nice to have a nice couch again. And this one has an attached chaise which is very comfortable.

We'll see about Castle. At this point I have no expectations that the relationship will progress anytime soon. In fact I expect that they will part at the end of the season completely unresolved and we'll pick up back at square one next season. So any more than that will be a pleasant surprise!

Thanks. It's lovely going and lovely coming home again. Jay has already downloaded the pictures onto the other computer so now I have to find them and transfer them to my computer.

I started the current season of Bones, but I dread to continue... I just can't see it working... at least not with the current writers.

The Firefly reunion ep in Castle was great. I'd love to see Slaughter again :)

Body of Proof has a second season? I thought it was dead.

It simply isn't working for me anymore and that's too bad since I enjoyed the show for years.

Yeah, it's still here but I think it's nearly dead. I have it on my dvr so the new episodes come to me without having to find them - or I'd think it was gone too.
