Day 12 - Much Ado About Nothing Download

Dec 13, 2011 16:55

Yesterday got filled up by Once Upon a Time squee so today I think it's fair that it is David Tennant's turn! While the DVD was offered for pre-order and then TAKEN AWAY (at least for now), the download is actually here and here RIGHT NOW and RIGHT HERE. I went with the HD version because if I'm going to do this I want it as big and clear as ( Read more... )

I already made a few people happy today with the download link! I myself will wait a bit longer though and hope for the DVD.

But I wish you so much fun watching it, since it is for the first time! I am so happy that our wishes got fulfilled so everyone who was not able to go can now see it.

I also bought the mug, I don't even drink coffee, but I loved the picture! I also bought the text book, and my friend later brought me the CD with the songs from the play (which was not available yet when I was in London).

She came back home and said, she was just standing outside after the theatre and suddenly two people came and scribbled their names onto the CD and she apologized very much for it LOL I laughed so hard.

All those things were available from the web shop as well, but the shipping costs would be very high to American I take it!

I will shut up now and let you watch ;) Lemme know how you liked it!

I do still hope for a DVD but there was no way I could wait! I started my download as soon as I was at my computer.

Heh. She was just standing there? Likely story.

My husband happened to be sent to London for work while it was showing so he (being a good husband) visited the theater for Much Ado items. I have the mug, the poster, and friend sent me a signed program. And now I can watch it! All without the paying for a flight to London. :D

Oh, that man in uniform! *sigh* (For some reason - I can only assume it might have been to make editing easier? - he's played the whole show with the stubble, rather than getting rid of it part-way through).

I've watched most of it today and the thing that really struck me is just how pretty Catherine is. I suppose I'm so used to seeing her in the guises of her various characters, that it's easy to overlook.

It's great that this has been made available so that everyone can share in the squee! And see the denim shorts for themselves ;-)

Oh! Thanks for explaining! The pictures did look odd to me but I couldn't put my finger on why!
That's weird. Isn't that an important dialogue with the shaving and all?

So they really did shave him backstage? Each day? I wasn't close enough to the stage to see whether it had been a real stubble or just make-up which can easily be wiped away.
And how did they do it at Saturdays with two performances? Not even he can grow a stubble in only two hours ;)

Yeah, I'm weird, I think about such details.

I don't actually know about the shaving - I'd just assumed as David's one of those guys who seems to grow facial hair at a fast rate (!) that he'd have shaved during the show, but I confess I'd not given any though to matinee days - I saw evening performances.

I haven't watched my copy all the way through yet -but I was planning to listen out for the "shaving" line to see if it's still there!

I had gotten the impression that in theatre they just applied more make up to hide the stubble, but maybe that would have not worked for the close-ups in the DVD and so they left it?

Have you found the shaving line?

I broke down now and will download this myself. Who knows if we ever will get a DVD. I want to show it to all my friends who could not come with me. I just wish there were subtitles for poor foreigners.

I went HD too - thankfully it will distract me tonight as I will be in need of distraction.

I figure HD is the way to go so long as you have the bandwidth!

Yay, thanks for the pics. I'm just waiting for the download to finish and see if its as ace on the screen as it was in the theatre :-)

It is a long, slow download! They must have limited bandwidth themselves!

It took a few hrs but I managed to watch the 1st half last night so all's good :-) Home soon to watch the rest. Hope you get the 'unprotected' version to make some ace clips as you normally do.

Heh. I'm just sitting down now. There has been Chicklet wrangling and dinner to deal with but I'm done now and can relax. (Kids! They expect attention AND food. *g*)
