It's been a while since I've done a picspam and David winning Best Actor in the TV Choice Awards is a good time to post a new one! As I haven't seen many pictures of David from the ceremony out yet (by not many I mean hardly any!), I have decided to do a picspam of REALLY BIG stills from Single Father which I have cropped and fooled with in

Ooh look at the pretty man, these are beautifully edited! I'm so glad he won for this, the award was well-deserved. I feel the need to grab a box of tissue and rewatch this soon. I think it's some of his finest work.

Thank you! I understand that he was up against some stiff competition this past year but I'm glad that he finally won something for Single Father. He was so excellent in it.

I'm not one to cry even when watching REALLY SAD dramas but I definitely got a little sniffly watching this. He played grief stricken SO WELL.

I think Single Father is literally the only thing I have ever cried at. And I was in floods of tears for this.

So gorgeous! I love him in his silly football uniform. :)

Actually I think what I loved most about this show was seeing him dressed just like a normal bloke, in jeans and sweaters and button-ups, as opposed to pinstripes or leather. NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH EITHER OF THOSE. ;)

Heh. Leather or pinstripes will always have a place in our hearts but they are more costume than clothing. I wonder how much of what he wore in SF was his own or based on what he has in his closet. Yes, no retro or band t-shirts but everything in the series could be something he'd actually wear walking down the street.

That is a great observation with the clothes and it just occured to me that this is also the reason why I loved this so much! Thank you!

I also actually love when he goes all actor-mode and is so much different in every role, with different body language and even voice, but here he was so - for a lack of better word - normal. Just a man with his family. I understand much of the filming with the kids was improvised, and I really felt as if watchin a documentation instead of a series.

Yes, getting out the DVD and watch it again in honor of his win is actually a good idea!
