The Doctor/Tardis scene was the only one that made me smile. It was so adorable :)

Other than that the episode was a fail for me. A pirate episode should be fun and not dull. They mixed a ghost ship with pirates and neither really panned out fully.

What I didn't really get is why the Doctor was just watching while Amy was trying to revive Rory. He should be able to do some good CPR at least, no? Besides giving mouth to mouth to Rory would have been fun as well :)

Why Rory woke up suddenly makes no sense to me either. If Amy had at least watched "The Abyss" and started shouting at him and hitting him, but she just gave up...

The Doctor in the Tardis scene made no sense to me as well. It was all some stupid techno-babble that was unnecessary. They could have just as well have the Tardis disappear before his eyes and it would have served the same purpose.

I really do try to enjoy it, but this episode was really weak.

That scene just about saved the episode for me. I love Eleven's love of his TARDIS.

Eleven watching while Amy saved Rory may mean something but it may be that they thought it would be more emotionally resonant for Amy to do it and didn't think about how it would look. (Like how no one lifted a finger to save anyone other than Rory from the siren.)

Heh. The entire CPR scene made no sense! Maybe he turned back into an auton...

I have high hopes for next week. I can deal with a weak episode here and there (every season has at least one) but I think this one bothers me more since the opening was so strong.
