David Tennant IS doing Much Ado About Nothing

Jan 08, 2011 11:19

OMG!! I've gone from having a leisurely morning as I watch the snow come down to being torn between excitement and EXTREME envy! Hamlet would have been awesome to see yes, but do you want to know which is my favorite Shakespeare play? Yep, this one! *flails* And David is my PERFECT Benedick. Add in Catherine Tate as Beatrice and this is going to be ( Read more... )

Aww, look at them! I haven't seen the Cate Tate in a while--she's looking lovely! This is really exciting news, though!

It's entirely possible they might film it, even if not as large-scale as his Hamlet; they've been doing several filmings recently, that will be/have been on PBS. *fingers crossed*

She is! They're going to be awesome together! The chemistry is beautiful.

Well they certainly have high enough profiles for the BBC to be interested in filming it. All depending on money/availability of course. *crosses fingers too*

I just watched that interview and they're as adorable as ever! It's wonderful when that happens and they actually get the chance to work together. :D

They do--enough, apparently, to be able to call someone and put on a Shakespeare play. Ha, the Beebs is loaded. Maybe they'll be nice to us.

I don't know how loaded the Beebs is. I do know they've been cutting costs all over the place though. However, I would think that they could easily make back the money on DVD sales and getting US tv to buy the rights. I'd certainly buy it!

We're going. I have tickets for July 12th. I still regret not seeing Hamlet, and my family's been devoid of a real vacation for two years with me being out of work. So Husband's going to apply to his school for a grant to cover some of the cost (he's going to study the London Blitz or summat), we're getting the kids passports, and we're fucking going. Taking the kids to the Doctor Who Experience and making a whole big trip out of it. No, there isn't enough money, but you only live once, I've decided.

Good for you!

I am considering so I haven't definitely said no (not that there will still be tickets by the time I decide for sure *g*) but this is the reason I don't travel much. Even for something like this I don't think I can physically spend that much money on a trip.

I checked back when he was at Comic Con and I'm about as far from the west coast of the US as I am from London (if we're talking strict distances he's actually closer when he's in London which is still too damn far *g*) so we're talking twice the trip for you.

I've been sitting here agonising at 3.30 am whether I can go or not and finally just bought the my ticket.

I'm not 100% sure this is all going to work out with me getting there, but I'd rather try my hardest to get there than regret forever not taking the trip.

I hope you can do it! It seems as though there is going to be quite the pilgrimage to London this year.
