I have been having a great deal of difficulty finding a job over the last few months. I have had interviews, but still no luck. Now, I am likely going to have no address. My roommates are throwing me out on Saturday. I have no idea what I am going to do or where I will end up. The funny part about it is, I still feel like something is going to ( Read more... )

I heard on another board that you need a place to stay. The person said what state you're in, and I know someone in the state who's looking for a roommate, but that doesn't help if you're not near them, but anyway if you like you could pm me with details just in case there's a chance it might help.

If you can put together the money for the rent, you can't be forced to leave for at least 30 days, even without an official lease, and the landlord has to initiate it. I too heard about this elsewhere; drop me a line if you need help, although unfortunately I don't have room for anyone myself.

This.

Once you have been getting your mail at a location, they can't force you out with no notice. They actually have to go through eviction proceedings.

I have a friend on the I-664 side of Chesapeake who is looking to rent a room for $500-$700 a month. Upon looking at your situation, I'm not sure that's helpful to you, but here it is just in case.

Having more time to figure it out would definitely help. Are you losing your place due to money, or is it a bad situation in other ways?

If it's money, how much do you need for another month? That would be give a lot more time to sort through your options.

Are you able/willing to provide childcare or housecleaning etc. in exchange for rent? And what kind of work are you looking for?

It's a combination of money and other factors. I may have a long term solution. I will find out more tomorrow. However in the short term I may need help.

I am willing to help out in any way I can. Cleaning, cooking, though that is limited, childcare... anything. As for what kind of work? I've done a little bit of everything from retail to factory work to office work. I'm smart and I learn very quickly.
