Meeting with dl_greenarrow, thekentboy and dp_lois.

The snow storm was past them and the boys had been working on the new floor, which would be for Lois, most of the day and had wanted to patrol. But Oliver had stayed behind with Chloe and Lois and now they were just waiting for Clark to get back from an emergency call so Lois could finally fill them in on what they needed to know

Seated on one side of her, Oliver gently rubbed the back of her neck with one hand, pressing a kiss to her temple. "I'm sure he'll be back soon." He glanced at Lois, who was drinking her third cup of coffee in the last forty-five minutes. Remembering her addiction to it, he'd not only stopped at Starbucks to grab her a latte, but also to buy a bag of their coffee. He was starting to think she might just finish the entire thing off in one day.

Chloe leaned a little closer to him and nodded a little, glancing at her cousin who looked more nervous than Chloe herself felt, which wasn't exactly helping Chloe feel any calmer about this particular conversation.

"Lo, why don't you sit down?"

[dp_lois]

"Pacing helps me think," Lois responded without looking up.

"You're making Chloe nervous," Oliver spoke up, pulling his wife a little closer to him.

[dp_lois]

Not really, Lois thought, the smile slipping from her face as she looked down at the floor for a long moment. She tapped her foot nervously, her hands cradling her cup of coffee tightly.

"Lex Luthor is alive." Her voice was quiet. She looked up at them, expecting to see all of them looking surprised.

"Yeah, we know," Oliver said quietly, glancing at Chloe, then Clark, before looking at Lois with a nod. "We found out a couple weeks ago."

With a deep sigh, Chloe nodded too, "he's in Central City as far as we know," she told her cousin quietly. She shouldn't have been surprised that Lex was behind whatever was bothering Lois, even before, she knew the man was bad news.

"Does everyone know he's alive? Has he started his campaign yet?" she asked, rising to her feet and beginning to pace once more.

[dp_lois]

Lois grimaced. "January. The first." She looked at Chloe. "And believe me, you and I did everything we could to make it public that he wasn't of age to run for president."

"But it's Lex, so it doesn't matter," she sighed deeply and looked at Oliver then back to Lois, "where is he making his announcement? Maybe we can stop it from happening."

[dp_lois]

"What's the biggest New Year's celebration in the United States that you can think of?" Lois asked, folding her arms across her chest and arching an eyebrow.

"New York," Clark said, sighing and shaking his head, "but stopping his announcement won't stop him."

Oliver rubbed the back of Chloe's neck reassuringly, shifting a little closer to her to try and help her relax. "I assume I get shot at the gala." His voice was quiet.

[dp_lois]

She looked at him worriedly. "Lex didn't know about Chloe's abilities until she healed you right there in front of everyone."

At that, her eyes widened, if she exposed herself in front of everyone, especially Lex, it would only put her and the baby's lives in even more danger, assuming Lex knows about the baby, but of course she wouldn't think about that if Oliver was hurt, "and what happened?"

[dp_lois]

Lois drew in a breath and blew it out. "He made meteor-infected people famous. A public menace. He painted them all in this terrible light--as killers, things that couldn't be trusted." She raked a hand through her hair. "The country was divided, but in the end that's what won him the election. People were scared and he promised to protect them from the meta-humans. And from vigilantes." She turned her gaze to Clark.

Oliver couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at her passionate display, though he remained silent. He shot Chloe a look, wondering what exactly had happened between Clark and Lois in the future.

[dp_lois]

She shook her head. "The way we're going to save the world is as a team. Not as any one person going off on their own half-cocked with a murderous plan--" She shot a look at Oliver, then looked at Clark. "--or trying to be friends with the devil."

Chloe met Oliver's eyes for a second and nodded slightly, their interaction was definitely different, at least on Lois' side, but it didn't seem to bother Clark at all so she figured that was a good thing

Clark frowned slightly between Chloe and Lois then looked at Oliver, his eyes a little wide as both of them just completely changed the direction of the conversation and back again. He also didn't quite understand why Lois was reacting to him the way she was, but he didn't mind it.
