He watched her intently from the closet, his eyes already glowing red. He watched as she found the blood, the note. He watched her eyes grow wide with fear, listened to the frightened gasp that escaped her. She didn't know fear yet.

Without making a sound, he left his hiding place and moved to stand behind her. "Did you think you could betray me twice and get by with it?" he whispered against her ear.

She held her breath, stilling when she heard him. If Davis was there, then maybe... "Davis," she gasped, eyes wide as she turned to face him, "Davis, where is he? What did you do to him? He has nothing to do with this."

"He has everything to do with this," he said harshly. "But don't worry. He's not dead." He paused for a long moment.

"Yet."

"Where is he?" She repeated, glancing in the direction of the closet, "leave him out of this, Davis, I will come with you, just leave him alone."

He looked down at her, the touch soothing him some even though he didn't really want it to. "They'll still look," he told her, lifting a hand to her face. "I would. They have resources. They'll know. They'll find a way. Don't worry, Chloe. I'll take care of everything." He smiled at her, then took her hand as the elevator doors slid open. He tugged her out of it and toward the car he'd stolen.

She went with him, her stomach in knots, she had to think of something, anything that would convince him to just take her and leave Clark and Ollie alone, she had to make sure Ollie was alive and then she would have to lie. To somehow convince Ollie to lie too, to make Davis believe he wouldn't try to find them. Somehow.

"Where is this place?"

"It's a surprise," he told her, opening the passenger door for her. "You'll see soon." There were bloodstains on the floor mat of the car, on the steering wheel, on the dashboard. "Get in."

When she saw the inside of the car, all she could to stop herself from freaking out was take a deep breath, if she freaked out now, there was no telling what Davis would do, she got in, keeping her face as blank as she could and doing her best not to react in any way. She just wanted to see Ollie, to make sure he was okay.

A familiar voice whispering his name lured him toward consciousness despite the lingering pain that swam behind his eyes. Everything hurt, including breathing. He tried to remember what happened, tried to recall what had caused the pain, but for the moment he was drawing a blank.

He struggled to open his eyes and when he did, there was two of everything, and the pairs were red and blurry.

She let out a breath when she saw him moving, tugging even harder on the ropes, but it wasn't working, so in an attempt to get closer to him, she knelled down on the floor, ignoring the water that was all over the place, she leaned forward, "Ollie," she whispered, her voice breaking, "it's me, you don't have to speak if you can't, it-- it's okay."

He coughed, tasting something coppery and metallic in his throat and mouth and grimacing as he realized it was blood. "Chloe?" he mumbled dimly, turning his head toward the sound of her voice.

"Don't. Don't try to move." She whispered, watching him carefully, trying to see as much as she could with so little light. It looked bad, she wasn't sure he could stand even if he tried and she was pretty sure she wouldn't be able to carry him very far even if she managed to free herself, they needed help.

"She's not wrong." His voice was low and dark, almost a growl as he slowly descended the concrete steps.

Oliver tensed at the sound of the other man's voice and he wound his hands around the chains binding his arms, using their strength to pull himself to his feet. Not that it was going to last long, considering the condition he was in at the moment. "Keep away from her."

Chloe closed her eyes and let out a deep breath when she heard his voice, her arms dropping to her sides in defeat, it had taken her too long. Unconsciously, she held on to Ollie's arm, helping him stand up, meeting his eyes for a moment, she shook her head, "I'll handle it." Her voice was barely audible.

With another quick look at Oliver, she turned around to look at Davis, positioning herself between them, she looked up at the other man.

"You can't stop me, Chloe." His voice was dangerous as he moved closer to her. "You know that. I have to do this. For us."
