Six months. It had been six months today. Six months since Jimmy's death, six months since Lois' disappearance, six months since Clark left. Six months since she had heard from Oliver, Bart and Dinah. Six months that she had been completely alone.
Chloe watched as the crime rates in Metropolis rose day by day. The Red and Blue Blur was gone, the Green Arrow was gone, the police wasn't enough to contain all the criminal activity and as much as she tried to give them all the anonymous tips she could, they weren't fast enough.
For four months she did nothing but search for Lois, Clark and send the police tips, she had completely transformed the Watchtower, Jimmy's Watchtower. She had brought all the computers from Isis and she had modified them, she had hacked into the Metropolis newly installed city-wide security cameras and she watched them for hours.
But she still didn't feel like she was doing enough.
Two months ago, she decided she had to do something more. She had to get out there, she had to pick up where the others had left off. Metropolis was her city, and right now, the only thing she had to hold on to.
She knew her hand-to-hand combat skills were weak, so she hired someone to help her. As she learned, she worked on an outfit that would help her keep her identity a secret and inspired by Green Arrow's tranquilizer arrows, she had a couple of sprays that helped her knock out criminals without getting too close and handcuff them while calling the police.
It wasn't ideal and she knew it. She got hurt pretty much every night she went out. She had bruises all over her body and some cuts, especially on her arms. But it would have to do.
Chloe knew she needed help, but she didn't have any, this was the best she could do and if she died doing it, she would at least know she hadn't abandoned her city.
And it wasn't like she had anything left to lose.
