Chloe had been restless for the best part of the night. Logically she knew Ollie had late meetings tonight, but she guessed the hormones were making her more paranoid than she usually was. And it didn't help that things were still a little up in the air between the two of them since she got back from their trip

Oliver arrived home a short while later. It had been a long, hectic day at the office, and he'd wanted to take the day off. But it hadn't really been an option. He made his way inside the penthouse, and shrugged out of his suit jacket, glancing over to where his wife sat on the sofa.

He exhaled slowly, raising his eyebrows. "Hey."

"Hey," she greeted, taking a deep breath and smiling softly at him as she leaned back against the couch.

"I had forgotten about your late meeting when I sent you the text, sorry."

He offered her a small smile, shaking his head. "Nothing to worry about," he assured her, loosening his tie.

Chloe nodded a little and dropped her hands to her lap, "how was work?"

Her face softened a little at that and she nodded, holding his gaze as she dropped her hands to his upper arms, rubbing them gently, "I know."

He was quiet for a moment, then he shifted so he was turning to face her once more. "Come here," he whispered, leaning back against the arm of the sofa and lightly patting his chest for her to lay her head on.

Chloe looked at him for a moment then took a deep breath and crawled next to him on the couch, laying on her side and wrapping an arm and a leg around him so she wouldn't fall of the couch then laying her head on his shoulder.

He wrapped an arm around her for extra assurance that she wouldn't fall, and pressed a kiss to the top of her head. "I love you. You know that, right?"

Chloe smiled against his lips and kissed him back for a moment before pulling back and smiling at him, "I suppose that's a way to get you to relax."

"Mrs. Queen, by the time we're through, we'll both be very, very relaxed," he informed her, winking at her.

"I like that plan, Mr. Queen," she told him, smiling up at him then lifting her head and kissing him once more, already feeling a lot more relaxed and less anxious than she'd been feeling when he got home.
