Hopefully, this isn't too incongruous. It's been sitting, and possibly getting stale. Other parts found here.

Oh my goodness, Chlare... You took me seriously about the breaking my heart thing, didn't you? ;P

This is awful. Well... It's absolutely excellent. Wonderfully well-written. Hot and dramatic and interesting. And awful! ;) Oh, Wes... All he did was let Angel almost touch him in a corridor... And suddenly Mal is sleeping with both the men he cares about. Can you imagine his reaction if he heard Mal's offer? All kinds of complications could come from this, especially with them all living on the same, small ship. I'm surprised Mal would tempt fate in such a way, but then I'm not :P He's got Simon in his bunk. Hard to think about the complications of afterward in a situation like that, I'd imagine ;)

“Well, maybe you can join us sometime...if you and Simon want. If Wes can let me borrow either of you.”

Yep. Am definitely anxious to see Wes's reaction. I think shooting could be involved ;P Or perhaps storming off the ship. I would so kick Mal and Simon's asses for Wes if I could ;P And yet...

There was something about ( ... )

Thanks, dear. :) You know how much I love your comments. ;)

Forget camping out. I'm going to be glued to my computer screen until the next bit of this story comes out! Oh-uh. Dug myself into a hole here, haven't I? :) Honestly, I haven't thought about the next bit yet, because well, now things are so complicated...but there had to be Simon/Mal ( ... )

The Simon/Mal was definitely just waiting to happen.

It is surprising, as I said. Because Mal is so tentative about causing complications among his crew. And when you've got crew members taking new bed partners behind their other bed partners' backs (and everyone is armed and trapped together in one small ship for long periods of time)... The complications that could arise could be pretty damned explosive.

It's believable, though. Like I said - Simon = irresistable. And Mal does seem to be expecting Angel and Wes to end up together eventually anyway.

Angel's reaction threw me a little - particularly the smile at the end. Because it wasn't just his Mal with Simon - it was Wes's Simon with Mal. And with Wes being hurt/pissed about how Angel seems to have shoved their history behind him... I can't imagine he's going to take having Simon go to Mal like that very well :P

Ohhhh! You were seeing that Angel was hurting Wes yet again by letting Mal go to Simon... I didn't even think of that. I think in my head things were happening that I hadn't revealed yet. But yes, you're right, that is troublesome...hmm. I knew I should have tweaked that part a little more. See these more than two people sleeping together stories are trouble once things come to a head. :) But maybe I can fix that. *pulls out the angst template*

Like you said, Mal's expecting Angel to end up with Wes, and I think this is kind of his pre-emptive strike against that happening. Or getting out of Angel's way for the time being. Waiting to see how Angel's going to take the change.

...*stares*

This was horrible! The poor boys...

Yet the whole thing is just so entirely compeling. Have to keep going because you know you want to see the fireworks that it's surely all leading up to.

And so hot, omg.

You really manage to twist emotions around, you know that? ;)
