My thoughts on The Break-Up, which I tried to not get spoiled beforehand so if I repeat other people's comments, it's utter coincidence and brainwave sharing: ( Read more... )
Yeah, it was hard to watch Blaine's bar scene. Really effective though. The part where Finn gets Rachel to sing with Brody was frustrating and so, so weird. I kind of had to laugh because I kept looking at how small Brody is compared to Finn, and thinking, 'Dude's gotta worry this is a set up for an excuse to kick his ass.' I think Brody is cute too, but yeah. The needlessness of everything really irritates me too

P.S. Kurt certainly does look nice and grown up now, doesn't he? :) I like the direction his character is going, with the Vogue thing. But I agree about it maybe being time to focus less on the graduates. Trying to focus on both is straining the show, I think, and everything just feels a little... less because of it.
So glad I'm not the only one! Blaine was so adorable and agh, that voice-- and then to see him turn out like this! Even Mike Chang got more character development than Blaine has!
(You're making me laugh at the image of Brody wondering if that was all a set-up to beat him up! :D)
Agreed, I totally like Kurt's direction and even Rachel's but then they're introducing 2 new characters, and adding Unique (sp?) and a villain. So... it's too much for one show, dudes! That part after high school is important to cover, and they've already covered a lot of big high school issues, but I'm still feeling like they're departing so much from the original idea that it's turned into a musical show about whatever they can think of that also fits with having Rachel and Kurt still in the cast.
