I know I am inundating your inbox with comments, but I have not talked to you in entirely too long :P My favorite version of Jolene is the one by the White Stripes Probably because of my affinity for slash. It's just fun hearing Jack White plead with a woman to not "take my man" :p
That may have been the version I heard first - I know it was a guy singing and that was probably why I was so taken with it in the first place! So great hearing a guy beg a girl not to take his man. :D I'll have to find that version and see if it's the one I heard before figuring out it was a Dolly Parton song. :D
