I think I'll let my icon do the talking here.
That was a literary suckerpunch with the end. The scene kills me.

Thanks. I'm glad it could hit a nerve. As much as I hated that Wes died, I've always felt better giving those two a little closure or peace of mind than having Angel rescue him.

I should really know by now that when you put your 'usual angst' warning on something, you've got your sniper rifle out and you're aiming for the heart. I wasn't sold on the 'heaven won't be as good' idea, until this line right here:
Any Heaven or Hell would pale in comparison of the complexities of their relationship, pale in the face of something that is perfect if only in Wes’s eyes.
And then you got me, dammit! *is broken*

I probably could have mulled this over for another while and still not have got it right, but I'm glad it got you where it counted in the end. ;) *fixes you*
Don't worry, I'm still going to read the Chase fic! There shall be comments, eventually!

I understood the concept you were going for right from the get-go, but it was that bit that made me believe it. *nod*
It's all good! I blatantly stole your 'happy' ending, oh yes I did, mwuahaha. *g* House premiere tonight, do-dah, do-dah!
