The flower before me was dying or even dead. It had neither the vibrancy of summer nor the scent of spring. I wonder, to be insulted or aggravated, by his thoughtless actions.
I saw him bring forward his hands and then, he was pinching my cheeks, pulling my perennial frown into a smile. “There,” he said, laughing.
“It’s beautiful - the flower I mean,” he half joked then flashed me a wink.
Sensing my gaze, he turned and stuck out his index fingers then made an upward curve on each finger, nodding like a fool. The wind blew again, seemingly amused at his little gestures. I suppose everyone should have one of their own - their own garnish of joy. Ah, it feels good to smile.
Ginny, you didn't disappoint me. this is splendid, graceful, beautiful.
