What's an "observatory"?

It's a place one observes from. In my case it's a place that one can watch and observe the stars for study. Though, an observatory is not restricted to study of the void and it's bodies, but can be used for anything one watches closely.

Not much yet, I haven't gotten around to studying it in depth. I know of the moons, and have observed their cycles, currently I was thinking of mapping the stars, and seeing what methods would work to navigate with them.

Well, the lord world we circle has many moons, the world I lived on just one of them. If anything it was more common to have a planet, than moons at all.

Yes. I only have a small farsight, but it's good enough to see a little bit of the sky for now.
