Okay and I'll cross 2001 Maniacs off the list. Man do I know the feeling of wanting to sue someone for your time back. I feel that way about a LOT of movies.
The reasons I didn't see it were not only that it looked like a two hour snuff film, but that Biblical myth bores me and, with few exceptions, I've never cared much for movies with heavy Christian themes.
I have spoken to people who saw it who have described enough of it to me to make me think the talk about it was warrented, and I've also seen Mel Gibson's Braveheart and The Patriot so I know he likes to make really bloody and realistically violent movies. Of course there's no real way to know just how realible those people are as witnesses, after all people also told me so much about how revolting the execution scene in Braveheart was (its all off camera, in case you haven't seen it).
I think I have a decent knowledge of serial killers - but that's probably from living in Wisconsin for a long time. ;) Meanwhile, over here in the UK I have a co-worker who often wears an 'Eat At Ed's' t-shirt with a photo of Gein on the front and a carcass on the back.
