Shopping Adventure (found something good)

I am feeling much better now, hacking up the last of my cold but I'm breathing well again. Feeling well enough to finally leave the house (and when I am sick now I am housebound, living in a fourth floor walk up I may be okay to leave, but those stairs can be a killer when I'm perfectly healthy when I'm not feeling well forget it), which we needed ( Read more... )

one that so many of them are huge and fucking ass ugly

This is pretty much why I didn't wear a hammer for the most part from when I parted with my original in 2002 (small and with knotwork, very nice) until rather recently, because the vast majority of the Mjollnir pendants I've seen are, uh, fug. Not my style. The one I have is about 1 1/4 inch long and is flat, and has a traditional Scandinavian design plus it was made in Sweden. And I found it completely by accident but also at a time when I was starting to process multiple clue-by-fours about shifting gears, etc.

Heh, heh, I have no idea who you possibly could have stolen the stocking idea from... ;) But hey, I'm glad other people actually appreciate it and don't think it's stupid. I think religion should be fun once in awhile, not all solemnity and drudgery.

I think what I said can be extended to Pagan jewelry in general. I remember having all sorts of problems when I wanted to find a pentacle to wear years back. Huge, ugly, random shit all over them, not to mention way over priced, not exactly my shouldn't be anybody's style.

I love well timed jewelry finds. Came across my caduceus the same way right when Hermes was bugging me for a dedication (previously hadn't found any without some sort of medical insignia).

Yeah, I don't remember where this idea came from. :-P No, its not a stupid idea at all, its fun and fun should be a big part of anyone's religious practice, especially if you worship tricksters. :-)

I am picky about divine jewelry. Still have a Thor's hammer but don't wear now that I am Roman. Sometimes it helps to take care, since folks are going comment. At least the ones I know - since I don't wear the usual Wiccan stuff.
