It was wonderful working under you again this year, and we look forward to the possibility of doing so next year. It is very nice having somewhere to come back to where we know everyone, even if it means we end up doing so while we're not scheduled, and end up doing work anyway... oops!
tbh, lots of my staff is around when not actually scheduled, either getting in earlier or there later, and that's fine. I can always use the help, as long as they realize they don't have to stay if they don't want to.
I am thinking about staffing changes for next year. I want more people, at least for Thursday, and want more people on shift at a few points.
