6.11 - justice

Another mini-rant before I get started. Well maybe not a full on rant. I really, really miss having a CW network at my house becuase nothing really gets that first impression out as writing it as soon as you see it. (I went though tagging more stuff the other day and I'd have two sets of episode thoughts. It's nice to see initial vs. multiple ( Read more... )

"This week and last week really went a long way to dispelling critisms that Chloe wasn't reporting or working on her stories....And that Clark is actively working on the Zoners and in doing so, is getting his exploring the world in at the same time. Go Clark ( ... )

Oh we know Al's read ksite before. Almiles consider it the unoffical offical site.

Didn't notice that. Must go rewatch. I love long Chlark two shots:-). I did notice a nice wedding shot between Chlark, though.

Well most of it is obfuscated by the steps but it is wone long unbroken shot. The Weddings hots in the Talon and Barn were nice.

Much rewatch that final barn scene. I got to say this is one of my favorite episodes of the season. So many good Chlarky things.

I love how Clark immediately goes for the throat by telling Bart Chloe's got a boyfriend. Just immediately goes in as though he's telling Bart she's mine and to back off. Doesn't even clarify by saying it's Jimmy. And that look Bart gives him defintely made it show that Bart thought it was Clark. I totally was expecting Bart to say something about it being Clark during the second barn scene where she clarify she's got a boyfriend.

I thought it was interesting she wore almost the same braclets she wore in the barn scene that she wore during Zod where the Jimmy/Chloe/Clark triangle is first introduced. Don't know if that means anything but it was interesting to me none the less.

Totally, but it was so rushed.

I did too. In fact I think it was purposefully left unclarified as to who the boyfriend was. It reminded me of Subterranina a little bit.

It could very well go back to "Justice" and Clark beating himself for not saving her against a guy with a gun.

That is exactly what I think it's a set up for.

Oh, that two-shot with the reflection?

I LOVED it.

They could have used that opportunity to show why EDLois WAS understanding and COULD deal with a secret in a relationship and make her the COMPLETE opposite of Lana...but, they didn't. It was the EXACT same situation. She even goes so far as to give him an ultimateum

I know some people don't like that, but that is exactly how I read it. She was even fairly understanding in the cut of Aqua we saw (hmm, both eps she had big relationships are named after water, weird!) understanding more than in Justice.

Oh, yeah, and the thing about Chloe and people putting her down, journalistically, just reminds me of schoolyard bullies that keep saying "nyah, nyah, you CAN'T do it, you're NEVER going to be able to do it, you'll NEVER succeed"...which, basically, tell me (after having seen many an underdog story) that somewhere down the ( ... )

Thanks for the detailed review! I agree on all points, especially this one:

....there was some disappointment that they demoted Clark for Ollie. Which suuucks.

Amen. Couldn't TPTB at least let Clark come up with the *name* for the JL? As much as I enjoyed this epi, I'm glad to see Ollie/GA go. Maybe from now on, Clark will actually get to play the lead role?

I did love the lead-in DP scene with Chloe, Clark and the doc, and I *adored* the Bart/Clark/Chloe banter in the loft. Clark's jealous of his li'l bro'. Awwwww. *Happy grin*

This week and last week really went a long way to dispelling critisms that Chloe wasn't reporting or working on her stories.

Honestly, I'm so tired of hearing these kind of comments on K-site and TwoP from Cloisers, when we haven't seen so much as *one* scene of EDLois at the Inquirer. (And in this epi, she spent half her time shopping for bikinis, and the other half fighting with her BF.) In contrast, for the last six years, Chloe's been shown working at, first, the Torch, and now the DP. She's ( ... )

Awh, thanks Carcassi.

He really seemed second banana to Ollie. People on Ksite tried to pin it on Chloe but she was happy splitting up and teaming up. She followed what he set up. Ollie really pulled the rug out from under him.

Clark's jealous of his li'l bro'. Awwwww. *Happy grin*

Hee, and I think it was a long set up that you can almost use their similarities as massena1 pointed out, as an analogy. We had three superhero relationships kind of where we can use them as examples for relationships with Clark ( ... )

//In fact, I was shocked for all the 'It's so Clois in the future!' it was pivotally Clana like. No one trusts her. No focus on her job, all about her waiting for him and him running out on her. It doesn't work//

Yes! I do not understand how that is suppose to parallel the future Clois relationship in the future. It seems to me that it shows it WON'T work in the future. Why would she do that to herself again? That convo was so like Clana it was eerie.

Well if it is a parallel, it's one saying Clois is just like Clana, and if that's the case, then Clark really did miss out on a relationship that a guy like him needs.

It was so Clana. It seems to me that s6 is about visually showing everything they hinted at for the past two years.

- doesn't care about the truth
- doens't care about the dp
- doesn't role with the punches
- can't deal with two seperate sides
- wants slick over real
- becomes completely untrustworthy

They've made her a walking clieche of the outdated parts of ILL + a good dose of Lana. EEP. run away CLARK!
