Wake-up call

It is not 5 to 12.
It is not even close to 1 to 12 either.
It's way past midnight.

Global warming is a problem now with very real and very serious consequences, affecting real people, not some theoretical textbook problem, which should be dealt with immediately. (And these are just 2 examples out of the 5 I could find off-hand...)

This won't be dealt with...only with the consequences.

Short term thinking. It's rather typical.

In the meantime, I get my gas from Total! Biodiesel!! :P

Hehe, like that will help :)

firstly:
"Als men echter ook de uitstoot en energieverbruik tijdens productie en transport meetelt is het niet meer zo zeker dat biodiesel minder milieubelastend is dan gewone dieselbrandstof. Dit hangt sterk af van de gebruikte grondstof."

secondly:
There is only a fraction of bio in the biodiesel, the rest is regular diesel.

Well, since we're too late we might just as well call in sick.

Or you could look at it this way:
It's a race between global warming, inflation (through expensive oil) and terrorism. I expect the world to be gone in 20 years, but which one will win?!
