Meeting, pt. 1
Community, jeff/annie
R rating
Jeff and Annie finally decide that they can be friends, no sexual-tension attached. It works. For a while. Inspired by a prompt by eva_aftagrl on milady_milord to write a story based on When Harry Met Sally. There may/may not be any similarities to the movie in this fic.

And anyways, she doesn’t have those same nervous ( Read more... )

GUH. This is all kinds of hot and awesome. I don't even know what to say, except for THERE'S MORE? Yes! :)

Really, though, I love this. They are SO Harry and Sally. They absolutely have to build that friendship before they can finally be together. And her thinking she's ruined it -- while he's realizing he just got exaclty what he wanted -- yes. Abed was right, tropes are bad when the characters don't know the script they'r acting out!

Can't wait to read more!

YAY. So glad you think the same about Harry and Sally. Annie with her OCD and her high maintenance and Jeff with his womanizing and know-it-all-ness. They are the next version of Harry and Sally.

And I think you're right... Annie and Jeff have to realize that they've got to respect each other as friends that care deeply about each other without any other attachments or intentions and then suddenly ROMANCE. AND SEX. ALL CAN BLOSSOM.

I am writing more. Thanks for the feedback!

this is beautiful.

So intense and and perfect, i'm now feeling so sad for poor Jeff waking up alone ^^
i can really see him being unsure of himself under all his cool exterior, and caring so much about Annie to be open about needing her with him.

And Annie, poor baby, i can relate to her panic and self-preservation sense kicking in.

I can't wait to read more of this, seriously. can't wait :)

Thank you so much. I feel bad for Jeff in that moment too, because the poor baby already has self-esteem issues and to be the one who gets abandoned the next day. MAN. It's going to have him reeling for days.

So glad you liked! Thanks for commenting!

Wow. I'm so impressed by this whole thing, but especially the sex scene, because it has been a really, really long time since I've read a sex scene in a fic that was so dense with emotion and so much about advancing plot and character.

Just a couple of typos I noticed: you have 'Dildoopolis' at one point near the beginning, and 'conscious' for 'conscience' somewhere. There might have been one or two others but I don't remember them! I was too caught up in the story to pay a lot of attention to them, but I just thought I'd let you know...

Oh god, that sex scene. I was so scared to write it because UGH. I haven't written anything close to smut in so LONG. And it's tricky, because I still have a thing about saying words like "nipple" and "penis." So I'm glad you didn't find it awkward or strange! YAY.

Thanks so much for telling me about those typos. This piece is 100% un-Beta'd, so it's possible there are numerous if not thousands of typos in this thing. UGH.

Sex scenes are a nightmare, it's like, a lot of sexual euphemisms are just so awkward, but at the same time, words like "penis" and "vagina" are hardly erotic, are they? They sound clinical. I thought you got just the right balance, personally.

That was perfect. The build-up, the tension, the angst, Jeff's insecurities... I love your writing and the tone/rythm you used.

Waiting for part 2 :)

So glad you like it. My writing is weird and therefore it pleases me to no end that you like it.

Part 2 is coming. Although I kind of waited until my summer class started to start writing it, so it might take a week or two to finish the second part. I'm the worst.

No, not at all! I prefer when a writer takes her/his time to write a good fic than when she/he rushes it because everyone wants it NOW. :P
