Ahahahahaha. You're all going to hate me but ohmygod I've always wanted to write one of these. This makes my life, you have no idea how fun it was to write, and how very, very easy. This was gloriously amazing, I should do it more often. I actually will, because this is only part one. (Omgwtf, of course I would only write multi-parters for things like this. I'm so defunct in the head.)
What is this?
This is a Mary Sue SuJu fic. Parody. Parody. Mostly.
In which our original female character of awesomeness meets SuJu and gets her pick of the boys. Or something to that effect. She possibly also has ties to DBSK, but that's not going to show up for a while yet, heh. There will be Love and Drama and Angst and such.
Hate me if you must, but I had fun. ;D (Though, uh, probably not going to get crossposted lest I get shot, lol.)
Warnings: HET. MARY SUE. SUJU MEMBER/MARY SUE. Reality, what reality?

meitachi Kim Danbi was 5’4”and had long black silky hair that matched her sooty dark lashes, which framed her large, glittering chocolate-brown eyes. She had gone by ‘Danielle’ since she was seven years old and had moved to the U.S., but she was considering using Danbi again because she was returning to Korea to study abroad for one year. She had grown interested in her country of origin after her best friend in high-school fell in love with the singer Rain (or ‘Bi’ as he was known in Korea, because ‘bi’ meant ‘rain’ in Korean).
It was Danielle’s second year in college and she was going to spend the entire two semesters at Seoul University on a full scholarship, because she had stunned both her home university (Stanford) and Seoul with her intellect. She was very modest about it, though, because her parents had raised her with proper values (and also good skin management because, wow, she had gorgeous porcelain skin that sometimes looked ivory in the right light).
Danielle had been amazed by Seoul and its bustle, its mix of traditional structures and modern skyscrapers. She had fallen in love with the little shops and the wonderful food and had even impressed herself with how quickly she’d picked up Korean again (it did help that she was a genius). What Danielle, except she went by Danbi now, was most surprised by, however, was the information her mother had given her right before she’d gotten on the plane (because her mother was absentminded and also very busy being rich and successful and had forgotten until just then):
“Here’s your cousin’s number,” her mother had said, pressing a slip of paper into Danielle’s (she had still been Danielle then) hand. “We haven’t seen them in ages but we’ve kept in contact and your aunt is terribly excited to see you. Make sure you visit them, okay? And your cousin, I think she’s a singer. Something famous. She’ll show you a good time. Just don’t party too hard now, okay?” Her mother had laughed and petted her hand, always understanding about how college students liked to have fun.
Danielle had hugged her and said goodbye and looked at the name on the piece of paper once she was on the plane.
Jin Bora.
It sounded familiar, too familiar. So Danielle had called her best friend from high school (who was still her best friend) and asked.
“Oh my God,” Katie had shrieked. “Jin Bora is your cousin? She’s in CSJH the Grace! She’s Sunday!”
Danielle had thought, That’s a funny name, and then felt bad because she was normally a very nice person. “Oh,” she’d said instead. “Well, I’ll get her autograph for you, if you want.”
“Please, do it! And see if she can get Tablo’s, since they were together in AnyBand. Oh and, god, Junsu. And I’m sure she knows everyone else in SM. Danielle, you better make sure she introduces you to all of them and take pictures and ohmygod I’m so jealous!”
And because Danielle was a good friend, and Katie was her very best friend, Danbi (because she was in Korea now) called up her cousin Jin Bora and asked if they could meet up.

Danbi didn’t know if she should be nervous or excited as she waited backstage during SBS’s Inkigayo. Her cousin, Sunday (“it’s easier for you to say, and it’s harder to confuse with other people”), had told her to sit tight through CSJH the Grace’s first performance so she could come back and introduce Danbi to everyone later. Danbi was waiting and watching busy film crew and make-up artists and costume designers rush around, excited despite herself.
She smoothed down her cute, stylish black-and-silver-patterned skirt for the fourth time in a row and started singing to herself under her breath, a nervous habit that had followed her throughout her childhood. She sang Haruman, her favourite CSJH song, trying to keep quiet so she wouldn’t disturb the people around her.
About thirty second later, a middle-aged man walked down the hallway towards her, looking as if he were in deep thought. “Are-are you singing?” he asked Danbi, coming to a stop in front of her.
Danbi widened her toffee-brown eyes. “Oh! Well, a little bit. Not really. I was mostly singing to myself.” She flushed delicately, rose colouring her pale, smooth skin.
“Well, you’re amazing. Completely fantastic,” the man said forcefully, looking at her as if she hung the stars in the sky. “I couldn’t help but overhear you from that room three doors down, because there’s just some quality about your voice. Oh! It’s indescribable. By the way, I’m Lee SooMan, nice to meet you, you lovely angel. What’s your name?”
“Oh, I’m Kim Danbi.” She gave him a sweet smile, a little flustered at his enthusiasm. She twisted a lock of her long, silky black hair (which she’d worn half-up, half-down, the top part pulled back with a sparkling diamond clip that her mother said Danbi’s childhood sweetheart from Korea had given her). “Um, aren’t you…the president of SM Entertainment?”
Lee Sooman looked delighted that she recognized him. “Yes, yes, I am. I was randomly wandering through the building because I do that sometimes, you know. And so many of my stars were performing tonight. I just wanted to provide moral support but, my lucky heavens, I got to hear you.” He sat down in the folding chair next to Danbi and gave her an earnest look, which reminded her of a kind, elderly grandfather. “Please say you’ll sign with SME and become our next star?”
Danbi gasped, her hand flying to her mouth. “Well, I’m really flattered but-I’m a student, you see. I’m triple-majoring in biochemistry, astrophysics, and humanitarian aid, here in Korea to learn more about the culture, so I don’t think I’ll have the time to become a singer.”
Lee Sooman looked tragically sad upon hearing this news. “That’s too bad, Danbi. Is it okay if I call you Danbi? What a pretty name.” He sighed. “You would have been a huge success, you know. We have all these people coming to Korea from the States-and, hell, even China-and getting super famous here. You would’ve been rich beyond belief.”
Danbi thought he was very sweet and patted his hand, smiling again at him. “Thank you for your offer. It’s okay, though, I’m already pretty well off. My parents did pretty well for themselves in the States and I have to focus on curing cancer and solving world hunger.”
“Oh you young ones nowadays,” said Lee Sooman with a chuckle and a shake of his head.
Right then, CSJH ran backstage, still sweaty and sparkly from their performance. Sunday stopped short when she saw Danbi sitting next to Lee Sooman. “President!” she gasped, bowing. Then she grabbed her cousin’s wrist excitedly. “Danbi! Are you busy? Come with me to our dressing room, I think Super Junior’s in there right now. We have to get in there before Stephanie starts clinging to Kangin-oppa like a limpet, otherwise you’ll never get a chance to talk to him and then Leeteuk-oppa will be distracted too and-” She bowed again at Lee Sooman, saying hastily, “It’s an honor to see you again, president. I hope you’re doing well. Thank you for coming to see us. Stay healthy. Come on.” She dragged a flustered Danbi down the hall.
“Wait, wait, Super Junior,” Danbi said as she ran down the hall after Sunday. “Is that the one with thirteen members? Is Junsu-sshi in that one?”
“No, no, you silly goose, he’s in DBSK. They’re in Japan right now.” Sunday pulled Danbi into the dressing room and beamed in triumph when she realized that Stephanie had been cornered by Shindong and Sungmin, neither of whom wanted to see their leader sulk in jealousy over Kangin’s alleged flirting with Stephanie.
Danbi blinked at the small room, crammed full of people talking and laughing and dressed in stage costumes, shining bright. Her heart raced and her head spun as she thought, Wow, that’s a lot of people. Then her eyes caught another pair and her racing heart came to a standstill, her breath caught in her throat.
Oh.
Suddenly, she found herself blushing inexplicably, which only made her look prettier than she had. Her heart resumed, fluttering, and she pressed a hand to her (nicely-developed, proportional) chest. This must be love.
“Let me introduce you,” said Sunday.
--
Even though Siwon had been talking to Heechul (or, rather, had been listening as Heechul talked at him), his attention was immediately diverted when Jin Bora rushed into the room with another girl in tow. Now, Siwon saw a lot of pretty faces every day. He was in the show business, after all, where even if make-up and computer manipulations did a lot, some sort of natural beauty was essential. But he had never seen someone like this girl, her cheeks delicately flushed, her heart-shaped face framed with long, silky black hair, her small mouth open and panting from her exertion. She wasn’t just pretty or beautiful-she was utterly breathtaking. Siwon knew, when he looked into her shimmering, warm, coffee-colored eyes, that she was it. She was the one.
Across the room, Kim Kibum looked up from his book and his bland ignoring of Donghae chattering in his ear, and felt his heart skip a beat. He stared and he could feel himself fall. “Donghae,” he said, and the other man looked at him with wide, curious eyes. “I think I’m in love.”
Donghae followed his gaze. Oh, he thought, because he didn’t just see the girl Kibum was staring at, he also saw Siwon staring at her. This was going to end badly. Then he looked the girl over again and bit his lip. He would have to be a good friend, the very best, because she really was very pretty.
“That’s her,” Siwon murmured to Heechul, who looked at him as if he were crazy, “that’s the girl of my dreams.”
“Hyung,” Kibum said to Donghae, “help me win her heart.”
Crap, thought Donghae.
