I just bought pine in the Home Depot in Hermitage, PA and saw stacks of melamine board while we were there. I'm not sure what else it might be called, but it should be closer to the hardware and plumbing side of the store than the rest of the actual wood. If I get back in to the store sometime soon, I'll track down my favorite guy and ask him what it's called. But it does exist, and if nothing else, I can give you directions to Hermitage from just about any part of OH between Cleveland, Salem and the state line. :) (Grew up in Youngstown.)

Did you try searching on www.chins-n-quills.com? I know quite a few people have built their own custom cages so they might even be able to give you advice as well as the location of the elusive material. :) I'm sorry I don't know offhand...I just totally pimped out a huge SuperPet cage.

The Home Depot near me stocked it. Try calling around to lumber yards and asking?
