There is something seriously sad about how rent for a room in Bridgewater is the same for Halifax when the fare is so substantially different. When I lived in Halifax, 450 was average fair, for a relatively nice room or for a share in a flat. Ugh, yeah I had an apartment over on Alexandria and the rent was only $500 but the walls were paper thin and heat was obscene! I ended up realizing it's cheaper to try and find places with most utilities included or non-electric heat.

That's the other problem with those places, so poorly insulated you don't even notice the difference in the winter 'cause you can't afford to turn the heat up.

I wish you a lot of luck in town, I know the pickings are slim.
