AMAAZING! i haven't been keeping up with the livejournal malarky, i had no idea you were going! how was it?

I haven't been keeping up the posting side very well, so it's really my fault for not writing that I was going. ;~) It was lovely! Very hot -- it's weird having a summertime Christmas. It didn't feel like Christmas until Christmas day, in fact. I've been before, but never actually *for* the holidays.

We spent a lot of time with dag29580863's friends and family, and also did a lot of hiking and camping in the area (and some touristy things like the penguins and a mini-"safari" a couple of hours out of Cape Town).

i did christmas in las vegas once with my family. it didn't feel like christmas even on christmas day... mainly because on christmas day we went to the bally's jubilee and saw corny little family friendly boobies bouncing around. lots of feathers...

oh, just curious, which camera do you have?

Just a little point-and-shoot, actually - a Fuji Finepix F30. My film SLR needs some refurbishing and digital is so much more convenient anyway, so I've just learned to "fool" my point-and-shoot into focusing where I want it to and working in various light conditions (still not as well as a nice SLR would do, but the little camera is *much* more convenient).
