I would like to speak frankly with you as a long-time buyer/player of your Sims franchise. I have bought and played every Sims game, expansion pack, stuff pack and almost every every single download off the Sims Store(s). This is a great open letter, and something EA really needs to hear, even though they probably already have and it falls to deaf ears over there - I hope you sent it to them somehow.

I put it on Twitter with #IwantMySimsBack for a hash tag and on FB, to the Sims 3 page. I keep hoping other Simmers will pick it up and pass it around, too, although I suspect you're right that it falls on deaf ears.

But it felt good to write it down, too.

Oh, this is sad. Heartbreaking is exactly the right word for it. I wish I knew more about computers and had a magic fix for you. I didn't know about the Sims 3 problems as I don't play it, but as far as I've seen from others, I agree with you that Sims 2 is far and beyond the better game. I do hope you are able to find a solution for your poor simmies.
