Writer's Block: Autumn Begins

The seasons are certainly more pronounced than they were in the Aurora Icefield.  All year long, it was snow and ice, snow and ice, snow and ice.  Here, there are trees with leaves that change color and flowers that wither.

And decorations that change.  While walking around, I've noticed some houses have put up orange lights.  Orange lights?  Don't ( Read more... )

The Orange lights are to celebrate a holiday called Halloween, I think. It's something Eggman is pretty big into... It's all about ghosts and pumpkins and scary stuff... Though, it's mostly pretty tame scary stuff from what I can see. Some stores in the city have stuff for it... You're supposed to dress up as somethin' spooky and collect candy from houses.

What's a pumpkin? What's a candy?

Was I really that isolated back at home?

Oh! Er... Pumpkins are a vegetable. A sweet one.. It's orange and kinda hard (There are some kinds that are green on the outside too. I grow 'em back home.) and they're orange on the inside and with a lot of seeds in the middle. Mostly you boil them until they're soft and eat them that way... Or you can roast them, which is my favorite way to have them! (The seeds feel good on your teeth when you chew on them too.)

And Candy is great!! It's like little wee bits of sweet food that can taste like all sorts of stuff... mostly I think fruit, but one kind is called Chocolate... I don't really care for it myself. There are some kinds of grape candy that are quite nice... Not as good as real fruit but an interesting snack.

And you were isolated I guess... Not quite as much as I was but I'm doing my best to make up for lost time I guess! haha!

Ohhh, interesting!

You'll just have to keep filling me in on all these terms that I've never heard before.

I like fruit. And candy sounds tasty. Do I have to wait until this "Halloween" day before I can try some?
