I'm talking about the Virgin Mary. The famous International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady Of Fatima visited my church today. You may have heard of t before. It has been known to have tears coming from her eyes every once in awhile. Sometimes everyone can see them and other tmes only some can. It's pretty cool stuff. It is a historic item

No, far from it. That is an all too common misconception. We don't pray to the statue or any statue. In and of itself, it is only a sculpted piece of material. But it's what it represents (Mary), and the fact that the person who sculpted it was told by the girl who she appeared to what Our Lady looked like. It's purpose is not to be prayed to but to remind us of Mary's message in Fatima through it's travels. It certainly has served its purpose for me.
