sitting here in the office after only 4 hours of sleep, i'm not even sure where to begin.

first and foremost, i was incredibly moved by the wonderful wedding of prosicated and inahandbasket. they are two of the sweetest people i know, and they had a ceremony that matched their personalities perfectly. i'm honored to be their friend and am so glad i was there to

gotta say man - not normally my kind of music, but you couldn't help but get pulled into the energy and vibe, no matter what you liked. andi finally got to hear you guys play. and i got to see a NOLA marching band stop traffic in Davis. and i got to see adorable women in shiny silver shorts with large cardboard utensils (Hungry Marching Band) tear up the brick in front of JP Licks with their vibe and presence. and i got to see two equilibriasts do things with each others bodies that was pretty fucking awesome.

yeah tell me about it. how can you not love a bunch of complete freaks making crazy noise and taking over the streets. it was such a wonderful assault on the 'normal' world!

I had a great weekend doing what I was doing, but several times in the past few weeks I've been sad that I was going to be out of town for this. Reading this post, I'm DOUBLY sad, but also delighted that it was so awesome.

it was sad to not have you there. b. and i talked repeatedly about how we wished more of our community were around for this weekend, because we're all pretty awesome and we wanted to show that off to all of the freakazoid visitors.

there are definitely parts of me that wishes i could have gone to either of the places you guys went, but i know this was totally the right place for me this weekend. hopefully, there will be less conflict next year because this is something that you really have to experience first hand, and it's only going to keep getting bigger and better.
