so what do you think you're gonna do in the army? don't they give you a better job if you already have a college degree? i was thinking of doing the same thing you are, going after college, but i don't know....
yes they definitly do give you a better job if u're college educated. First of all i'm gonna go right into Leutant (sp?) school. I'd still need to pass the tests to become one, but i'll be put right into that program. i think that's the extent of the 'special privelages', but it's good cuz i wont be w/ all 18 yr olds . Returning to the army gives you a lot of benefits as it is, well depending on the status in which you left israel (minor, adult, or never been). You get a better paycheck, a 'welcoming basket' of cash, and lots of special benefits and reductions on taxes. Well, in general i'm hoping to be an industrial psychologist, focusing mainly on rights for workers with disabilites. in the army, eh, i'll prolly be a psychologist or something of the sort... i forget what the exact position is called. damn i'm so excited to go back!
That's awesome. Do you think it's a better idea than going straight into grad school? I sometimes think I'll lose all these years by going into the army, but I think it gives you a lot of connections and helps you really get your shit together.
That looks like a really nifty idea, but when I return to serve in the army I plan on staying. :) I thought I mentioned that earlier. Oops! ^_^ Either way, I won't be leaving anytime soon since I still have to finish my BS and then MS program before I will have any possibility of moving anywhere. But thank you for the link. I am VP of Hillel on my campus, so I know people who would be very interested in this. ♥
Tell me there are some Israeli 20-something year olds in this god foresaken place [new england]. I'm going crazy here with all the english all the time and so much america.
