Ah, my country, you are so very wrong.

Australia's had a Baby Bonus of up to $5K for each kid. Except the government has been scaling it back and making the payments in installments because 18 year olds kept getting knocked up so they could buy plasma TVs.

Oh, did you hear the latest news on the whole 'm/paternity leave' thing?

And yes, I know of at least 3 kids (this was 4 years ago, so they were 17/18!) who had kids just for that bonus, poor kids. They didn't ask to have stupid parents.
